Questo disco è la presentazione ufficiale del duo nel mondo della musica inedita emergente.
I quattro brani presenti, per quanto diversi tra loro, hanno un filo conduttore che unisce le sonorità di ognuno per convogliare verso una progressione di suoni pop-rock ed elettronici.

“Istinto Primordiale” è l’apripista del disco e, in quanto singolo, vuole essere un richiamo familiare prima di far immergere l’ascoltatore in un lavoro da cui non sa cosa aspettarsi. 

Dopo un testo contraddistinto da esplosioni di speranza, il lavoro si incupisce con “Alyssa”, dove la protagonista è arginata in un presente che vede compromesso, intrappolata in domande sull’umanità e sul futuro. In contrapposizione con le parole, la melodia risuona come un gioco e pare trattare l’argomento con una nevrotica ilarità.

Se in “Alyssa” le domande non trovano risposta, le crude immagini che figurano dal testo de “La Guerra” non lasciano spazio a nessuna forma di mistero, e i The Recoveries manifestano con durezza il proprio disappunto contro gli scempi che l’uomo è capace di compiere.

Il disco trova la sua conclusione con “Miracolo”. Carica delle immagini e delle sensazioni trasmesse dalle precedenti tracce, l’ultima si pone come grido di liberazione e assoluzione. Un ultimo grande inno alla vita e alla luce, temi ricercati nell’arco di tutto l’EP.

"Requiem Of The Chanting Steel" is a sonic meditation on the devastating effects of war, the relentless pursuit of technological development, and the pollution that suffocates our planet. I composed this piece with the intention of drawing attention to how aggressive industrialization and global conflicts can erode not only the environment but also the very essence of humanity.

From the opening chords, the anthemic rhythm, present throughout the composition, evokes a grave and dramatic sense, symbolizing the ineluctable march toward destruction. It is a march of steel, of heavy machinery dominating battlefields and industrialized cities, but also of a humanity losing control. The rhythm becomes a call — a call for all of us to reflect on the path we are heading down. It is a lament for the loss of balance, a testimony to how technology has supplanted nature, and how unchecked development drives us toward a tragic end.

As the melody progresses, the weighty, intense tones of metal and synthesizers intertwine with more organic motifs, such as nature's roots beginning to wrap around the metal structures, symbolizing a return to a primordial state, a need to reconnect with nature. It is a story of resilience, of how nature reclaims its place despite technological advancement, but also of the inevitable decline of industrial civilization.

At the conclusion of the piece, male voices solemnly intone "Hora es" – a song of awakening, a call to action. This chant symbolizes the final moment of awareness. "The time has come" for us to awaken, to cease escalating global conflicts, and to stop destroying the planet in the name of false industrial progress. It is a plea to take action, in the twelfth hour, to save what remains of nature, of ourselves, and of our future.

This piece is meant to serve not only as a requiem for the world we are on the verge of losing but also as a manifesto for the necessary change. It is time to acknowledge the devastating effects of war and pollution and to return to balance before it is too late.

This remastered album is the musical journey accompanying the harrowing events of Book 3 of "Hinter uns das Land" ("Behind Us The Land"), a poignant novel by Frank Talmon l'Armée. As the war closes in, the Feyerabend family, along with countless others, is forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to flee their beloved home in East Prussia. This collection of 16 tracks captures the emotional turmoil and the perilous journey that unfolds, painting a vivid sonic picture of a family caught in the midst of historical upheaval.

Book 3 plunges the listener into the chaos and fear of the final days of the war in East Prussia. The once-familiar streets of Danzig (now Gdańsk) become a haunting labyrinth of desperation and uncertainty as Inge and her family navigate the treacherous path to the harbor. The music reflects the growing tension, the ever-present threat, and the agonizing choices forced upon those seeking refuge. You will sense in the music the desperation of many refugees, but also their determination to survive.

The journey culminates in the boarding of the "Lappland," a vessel overflowing with refugees, all carrying their own stories of loss and hope. As the ship embarks across the vast and unforgiving Baltic Sea, the music evokes the vastness of the ocean, the precariousness of their situation, and the uncertain future that awaits them. You can hear in the sounds the inner turmoil of the characters: the children who do not yet fully comprehend what is happening and the adults who try to hold on to hope in the face of unimaginable fear.

From haunting melodies that echo the emptiness of a lost home to surging orchestrations that mirror the turbulent sea, this soundtrack captures the full spectrum of human emotion in times of war. Moments of quiet reflection are interspersed with powerful, driving rhythms, reflecting the resilience and determination of those who refuse to give up hope, although they know their lives will never be the same.

This musical collection offers a unique and immersive experience, drawing the listener deeper into the world of "Hinter uns das Land." It's a testament to the enduring power of family, the unwavering human spirit, and the search for peace amidst the ravages of war.
