This is a soundscape I created with some pals from my music class. Our assignment was to combine sounds we recorded as well as use recent technology to produce an immersive environment. Most of the audio recordings were captured on the Newling Building grounds where we study. The idea we had was to use the Newling building's natural acoustic environment, consisting of natural sounds (lights buzzing, walking through corridors, kettle boiling, doors shutting, faucets running), animal vocalizations, the sounds of weather and other natural elements, and environmental sounds created by humans, through musical composition, sound design, and other ordinary human activities including conversation, work, and sounds of mechanical origin resulting from use of industrial technology. ENJOY!
