I told myself I wasn't going to write a breakup song...

Reflecting on the end of my first ever long-term 'adult' relationship lead me to writing this. Realizing it's for the better to have ended since neither of our needs were being met. There's some frustration but also a lot of joy and freedom here.

I miss the feeling of you holding me tight in the night
It never happened in the times the sun would shine so bright
And now in winter, tears would freeze before they get born
