Bedroom pop duo from L.A.

Paxten and @JRoosevelt met in 10th grade statistics class, striking up conversation over a band t-shirt. The pair went on to write a series of acoustic songs and play them at open mics in the L.A. area. 

After high school, songwriting took a backseat while Paxten and J. Roosevelt lived on different coasts to focus on their careers. In the meantime, J. Roosevelt was honing her Ableton skills as a producer. 

Fast forward to 2016— with both musicians living in Los Angeles, the duo reunited frequently to write songs over hookah and rum. Their first official collaboration— "Coulda Been Something"— won the grand prize in a songwriting competition on Indaba Music. In April 2016, the two decided to officially join forces as “The Lost Angeles.” Stay tuned for their first official release “Time of Your Life”— you’re not gonna want to miss it.
