While some relationships are cherished forever, others slowly dissolve into oblivion as time passes. However, what lingers on are these certain moments when undefined feelings creep back up and we revel in happy memories while at the same time mourning the transience of past moments we shared with people which once felt so present in our life. The double-edged character of nostalgia that remains in regards to friendships and relationships long-gone - that's what Break Well tries to identify and describe. Break Well offers a home for a diverse array of artists to channel this sentiment into musical transmissions. Sometimes it hurts to dwell in this bi-polar sentiment called nostalgia, but in the end the positive feelings will hopefully exceed the negative and we will still feel love for each other - sometimes more, sometimes less.

Faithful to the ethos of the label to put fresh music on the map, the second E2-E8 release comes from Hems. Hems appearances span several continents, from his early gigs at the acclaimed D-EDGE São Paulo to his most recent gigs in Hong Kong, Tokyo and South Korea to his track "hypnosis" on NY label Mysteries of the Deep last year.

Like most E2-E8 artists, Hems spends a lot of his time in East London producing electronic music and constantly working on his garden of unique instruments, the living creatures in his sound cave. Those who are into ambient already know Hems from Astral Industries events and probably saw him performing side by side with Chi, Andrew Pekler and Vladislav Delay.

This release, his first vinyl, covers a wide spectrum of his sound. The almost beatless title track Post Radiance opens the release, followed by the subtle dub techno of I Know This Road and by the raw relentless beat of Dirty Chords. On the B side, Let It Go is a suspended 15-minutes journey clocking in at 140bpm – arguably the highlight of the EP, sounding like little else out there. Madsituation closes the EP, with a nod at lighter atmospheres and a hint at Detroit-influenced strings.

Techno heads will be pleased to hear that the record has already got praises from techno talent Refracted and from ( the legend ) Jane Fitz.

This show we pHeature a mix of the hyper-productive Aleksi Perälä with a selection of his lush sonic divinations from his latest series of themed releseas. Aleksi is well known to braindance lovers with his releases as Ovuca and Astrobotnia on Aphex's legendary RepHLeX Records, as well as for his inspired Colundi channeling, fusing custom tuning systems with expert sound design.
The latest period has seen Aleksi produce so much variety of sound styles with such apparent ease, that this show's mix is but a little glimpse in the diversity of Perala's releases, which can be found on his BandCamp page and are highly recommended sonic sacraments.

Habituellement équipé de disques Funk, Synth-Pop et Italo, Philx ralentit exceptionnellement la cadence pour nous plonger dans un univers Lowtempo & Balearic, tout en décontraction. Même sous-pitché, on reconnait bien là la patte du résident de Nebulah Radio. Il faut souligner que techniquement rien ne dépasse... grand bien vous fasse !

Plenty of new tunes, dubs and exclusives as always this month. Cold and freezing in the studio and a gale outside so started dark and dystopian and then gradually sped it up and increased the heat before finishing with some 150BPM bangers.

Rebecca (https://soundcloud.com/rebeccagoldberg) is a producer, DJ, live performer and designer from Detroit. Since her debut release, 313 Acid Queen, she's been affiliated with the multidisciplinary arts collective, @detroitunderground

Rebecca is a seasoned radio DJ having mixed for FM and internet-radio shows hosted across the globe. She hosts her monthly program “D-SCOVERY” on London’s Aaja Radio highlighting contemporary techno and house from Detroit. She tours internationally as a DJ and live performer and has been featured at notable events from Movement Electronic Music Festival to Tresor in Berlin.

Goldberg has released music and multimedia projects with output ranging from 4/4 Detroit techno to experimental/avant-garde electronic music. She has written original scores for classic films Le Voyage Dans La Lune and Gojira, including live performances at David Lynch’s members-only club, Silencio, in Paris and Armageddon Beachparty in Detroit, respectively.

For Gated and 303 day she's kindly put together a couple hours of acid tracks that she loves. Not necessarily the typical tracks, or the "classics", just all across the board 303 music!
