The story behind the lyrics on “Killing my Time” revolve around a girl I was seeing, who kept distracting me from making music. My bedroom is my studio and she only wanted to stay in bed and make love all day. It was hard to escape and be productive so I inevitably I ended up breaking up with her because I wanted to focus. It was fresh on my mind once I sat down to write this song. She was “Killing my Time."

Whether it’s getting out of a toxic relationship, coming out to your family, getting bullied etc. Life throws shit at you and you have to be brave. You have to stand tall and rise above it. 

For me, I didn’t write I Am Not Afraid about one situation I have experienced, I wrote it about multiple situations that I’ve faced throughout my life.

Shoutout to my mate Ariel Rechtshaid who co-produced this jam with me, was always a dream to work with him since I pissed my pants in a HAIM mosh.
