Welcome to Episode 171 on Poisonoise Music with this set coming in from Australian based artist Ian Morrison aka Morian.
Ian's work was unknown to me prior to him sending me over his mix, but a further look into his page and profile has uncovered some 
really nice deep and hypnotic music (his link is below so make sure you check this out)
This set sees Morian in fine form again, featuring a lovely balanced blend of ambient and deep hypnotic passages.

"My musical foundations are rooted in AC/DC, Sabbath and Metallica and give rise to a love of 4/4 rhythm and the riff. From here they veered into where worlds collide – Pink Floyd met the Orb in a student dive and a love of electronica was born, encompassing pioneers such as Orbital, Leftfield et al through to UK D&B, taking in Kruder & Dorfmeister and the dub scene along the way.
The love affair however ended in the early nineties, I wasn’t feeling anything from electronica any more, but I knew the music I could hear in my mind must be out there - somewhere. My musical imaginations seemed to put all of the above aspects in place and was only discovered pre pandemic in the form of deep techno. This discovery so rekindled my love and excitement that I took the plunge into DJing - I wanted to take the music internally heard and create mixes to ease back to and soothe the soul. Voila. I hope you all get the same level of enjoyment from this mix, as I had creating it." - Morian.

WDDS, an artist whose journey commenced within the vibrant bars and clubs of Brighton East Sussex, has traversed an inspiring path. Gradually ascending the ranks, his odyssey led him to the esteemed role of resident DJ at Concorde 2. Following his relocation to Manchester, Jonny, also known as WDDS, made a deliberate shift from DJing to dedicate himself to refining his production prowess. This artistic endeavor has been accompanied by the meticulous crafting of an ever-evolving live performance that embraces a wide spectrum of genres, ranging from dubstep and jungle to ambient and all the uncharted realms in between.

BSRMIX#149 - Monophonik

Josh (@soundcloud.com/josh-t-music) is certainly one of the most ecletic selectors (and DJs) out there. Whether in his mobile record shop (now dysfunct unfortunately), with his buddie James as "The Ghost", or flying solo: the amount of quality records that have gone through this man's hand is close to unmatched.

For 5918mins., Josh unpacks a mix unlike anything we have ever heard before. It is hard to pin down genre-, or time-wise, but it is safe to say that it is up there with our favorite mixes of all time. His approach feels very patient, yet goes from organic to synthetic, from uplifting to drowzy and back within 80 minutes. Maybe it is the reappearing pockets of breathing space, the passages of insightful, beautiful vocals - or maybe, we'll never really know and just enjoy.
