On a more personal note, our journey with Miles From Mars began (almost exactly) four years ago with the release of their inaugural track, 'Civilizations.' Witnessing the remarkable evolution and expansive reach of their musical vision over these years has been immensely satisfying.

Miles From Mars is the sonic vessel of two prominent South African figureheads - Maximilian and Deadbeat FM. Their debut release 'Red Eye Jedi' signifies their contemporary approach to the hybrid of techno and progressive trance, embodied by the dark expanse of outer space and on-earth rebellion.

Thunderous bass lines matched with momentous sound design is cloaked with effortlessly fluid craftsmanship. Harnessing a captivating eeriness, the powerful moods convey visions of a dystopian revolution, channeled by off-world entities.

Digital Structures chief Yuli Fershtat joins the uprising, taking the third original for a deeper psychedelic spin.

Calling the label home since the inception of their project, South Punk has proven a fixture in our family, as we work together to unleash the gritty gear within.

Efficiently described as dusky alien funk tinted by a dirty analog timbre, the album’s coded astral communications creep through compelling grooves and sharp mind-bending jaunts. Slow-burning atmospheres and surrealistic tones inscribe the message… “Nothing Is Real”.

Carrying on god's work of spreading the deep, psychedelic, electronic sounds is the French minimal tech virtuoso - EWAKE !!! 

Ewake is a deep and psychedelic techno project born in 2012. The main purpose behind it was to share a moment of peace, freedom and inner self discovery whilst dancing to warped out electronic soundscapes curated by Pablo Ragot. The musical intention is to blend together the magic of different type of sounds and to shatter the perception we have of  dance music genres. All whilst Ewake perpetually looks for new vibrations to bring a rich and unexpected journey to the dance floor. 

He has quickly become a SixthSense favourite, as he is by far one of the most diverse artists we know amongst our tight knit worldwide group of psychedelic sound dwellers. His releases on various labels such as Techgnosis Records, Blind Arc and his own label Sub.Conscience Records have been a regular feature in our residents sets, as well as an amazing example or reference for producers in our scene to gain sound design inspiration from. 

This SoundCast has everything from deep tech, minimal techno, subtle house inspired grooves, through to our favourite sub-genre, psychedelic techno.
