Welcome to the 20th episode of our guest mix series! This session comes from Spanish breaks DJ producer JIRO. He began his DJ career in the late 90s at underground raves in Spain where he grew up listening to jungle, trance, garage, acid techno, drum & bass, and of course breakbeat. 2014 was the year for his debut in music production, and since then he has worked for labels like 83, Elektroshok, Distorsion, Bassrock, Toast & Jam, In Beat We Trust, just to name a few. Encompassing his influences from the early 2000s, his productions contain dark sound and old school vibes which earnt him 6th place as Best Breakthrough Artist at the Breakspoll awards in 2015. We are very happy to have him on board for this episode, we hope you enjoy as much as we do!

The tune is mesmerizing and puts you into a trance like state as the beats and synths are so perfectly melded together as they take you back in time and into the future. 

Nipponeer Records being based in Tokyo, Japan; was founded by Hiroshi Fukuma in 2003. This is the 183rd release of the label, while the first EP came out in 2009 - aiming to reach a place of solely ageless and quality music, where time has got no dimension.

💿 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗬:
From a very young age he was already interested in electronic music and at the age of 13 he began to move together with his brother, ManuEvil DJ, through the most emblematic places of the Córdoba scene. Soon they started working with the biggest names in southern Spain such as Satisfaxion, Nätural and Animalia, just to name a few. He started at 15 as a producer, and by the age of 18 he already released his first single through the Malaga label Starsign Records of Anuschka.

Shortly after, he was hired as A&R by the Kankana Records label, until he decided to open his own company several years later. Throughout his 30-year career, he has an extensive discography on vinyl, CDs and digital releases, published by national and international labels, including his own productions as well as productions for a large number of artists from different musical genres, film soundtracks, music for television, advertising spots for brands such as Adidas and audio post-production works for Sony PlayStation video games such as "Déraciné", "Dreams" and "Helldivers 2".

He was co-founder of the Emoxion.com electronic music portal and a former contributor to the On-Satisfaxion radio show and the Deejay magazine. He is currently a music reviewer for DJ Mag and Mixmag magazines, and directs EvilSound Studios and EvilSound Records.
