"This album emerges from the rediscovery of an accordion following the loss of a close relative an instrument that had been a constant companion throughout their life, weaving itself into the fabric of childhood memory. At its core lies the recognition that both human and
accordion share the same essential act: breathing.

The accordion becomes a meditation on mortality and memory, its bellows expanding and contracting like „lungs“, its air valve releasing pure breath without melody—the raw pneumatic essence of life itself. Every sound originates from this single instrument, largely unprocessed, preserving the intimate relationship between human touch and mechanical response.

It’s an investigation of how an instrument can hold the memory of hands that no longer play it. The mechanical whispers, the subtle articulations of metal and leather and wood become a language of remembrance, breathed rather than spoken."

This Night was composed using an additive synthesizer and filterbank created in SuperCollider, enabling precise control of individual harmonics, organic timbral and spatial variation, microtonal pitch accuracy, and the ability to carve pitched tones from unpitched material.

The release also includes Now I’m Happy Again, an impromptu performance on shruti box, Appalachian dulcimer, and harmonica. Each instrument was modified or built to play in extended microtonal just intonation.

After 2024’s ‘EZMVA’ on @111family, and this year’s expansive 136-minute celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Electronic Music and Media Arts program in Pécs — ‘EzmBA 15’, released on programme head Eszelős Meszelős’s dióbél —, 111Records opens a new chapter with ‘EZMVA2’. The 17-track collection deepens our shared vocabulary with new faces and fresh voices; slightly less dark and a touch more introspective than the previous iteration, the album balances an equal number of bold bangers and form-free experimental pieces. The result is an hour-long, colorful snapshot of a scene forever in motion.

Spiritual Reconstruction Engine is the debut album by Sydney-based experimental electronic artist @obelisksydney , releasing on Geometric Corruption on 18 December 2025.

Spiritual Reconstruction Engine is a personal, cathartic album born out of a long battle with chronic lung conditions. Recorded during the beginnings of a recovery arc, the album’s heavy, gory, biblical, frenetic sound palette acts as a mirror to circumstance. Bodily infused textural noise, heavy bass and sharp atmospherics give a heaving feel, contrasted against a strikingly heavenly and danceable tone throughout.

The blend of emotions in the album is disorienting, but it’s baked into the album’s DNA as a reflection of coming to enjoy moments of bliss & peace despite one's circumstances.

The album is full of fresh sound design born from various real-world settings, including surgical and medical sampling (including the artist's own medical monitoring devices), natural environments, and choir archives.

The visual identity for the album is by uzâ a’amo, mix and master by Obelisk
