After setting the tone with “Where Is The Moon?” — the sweeping opener of the “In Orbit” series featuring The Velvet Effect — Joe Ford and Task Horizon return for the second chapter of their collaboration project - ‘In Orbit’. This time, they welcome one of Evolution Chamber’s most exciting additions and the pioneer of the Neurogoth movement, Ekwols, to deliver a track that signals a bold shift in energy: “Sunfall.”

Since joining the label in 2023, Ekwols has quickly become a standout name within the Evolution Chamber roster. Known for his immersive atmospheres, raw emotion, and signature punk-like vocal work, a collaboration with either Joe Ford or Task Horizon was always a matter of time — but bringing all three together makes “Sunfall” feel like a moment.

The track begins with an almost elemental stillness, waking gradually through organic textures and gentle ambience. Ekwols’ vocals creep in with a sense of anticipation, heightening the tension of each 16 bar section before dropping into a kinetic, unfiltered barrage of thunderous drums and snarling reece basses. His vocals remain woven through the chaos, adding an emotional thread to the heaviness below. The intensity is undeniable, but so is the detail — every element throughout the track is engineered to showcase each producer’s individual strengths while serving a shared vision.

“Sunfall” stands in sharp contrast to its predecessor, underlining the adaptability and range of the series. Where “Where Is The Moon?” explored cinematic dynamics and restraint, this instalment is built to shake the foundations. It's a direct, unflinching reminder that this series isn’t about one formula — it’s about exploring new ground with every step.

“In Orbit” continues to be more than a collaboration series — it’s a platform for expression, risk, and reinvention. Following the conclusion of their malicious acts, the conquerors had grown fat upon the spoils of war. Through the great successes of their many campaigns they had accumulated plunder and tribute en-masse, and over the intervening years of peace it was their posession of these treasures rather than their martial prowess that had come to define them. As lords languished in their lavish villas their warriors lazed about untrained, themselves coming to pursue other avenues of work amidst the repulsively rich cities of their homelands.

On the faraway frontier, famine swept the land as the produce of the conquered was callously shipped off to the imperial core. Among the downtrodden who clung to life upon the ruins of their razed land, discontentment brewed beneath the surface, unnoticed amidst the DECADENCE of those who ruled. While the people of the frontier gathered in the secret circles of their ancient faith, the provincial governors who ruled over them gathered their friends for festivals of consumption & vice. Thus it was that when the avatar of the conquered people’s vengeance was summoned upon the land, it was not noticed until the shipments of luxuries to the empire’s capital suddenly ceased, after which its fiery form appeared at dusk on the horizon. There, it burned with the promise of a novel consumption - one that would cleanse the land of those who had stripped it bare and return to the soil the spoils that the conquerors has so brazenly stolen.

Austrian-German trio Nowhere, Nightsub & Klinac make their debut on Hoofbeats Music with a track that’s as emotionally rich as it is rhythmically daring. “All Mine” is a beautifully fractured piece of melodic drum & bass that blends intricate, broken percussion with lush harmonies and a haunting vocal hook that lingers long after the final beat.

From the opening pads to the final fade-out, the track builds a cinematic atmosphere—ethereal yet grounded, intimate yet expansive. The vocal refrain “all mine” floats like a memory through shimmering synths and layered textures, while the drums twist and turn in unexpected ways, creating a groove that’s both hypnotic and unpredictable. It’s a track that doesn’t follow the rules—it rewrites them with elegance.

Behind the production are three rising names from the Central European underground. Klinac, hailing from Austria, forges his sound in the shadows of the underground dancefloor—focusing not only on neurofunk, but on deeper rhythmic tensions and emotive textures. His club-tested sensibility is the backbone of the track. Nightsub, based in Germany, brings an ear for subtle detail and melodic depth that shines through in every shimmering passage. And together with Nowhere, their frequent collaborator, they form a synergy that’s both technically refined and emotionally resonant.

With the dissolution of the heavenly accords, war had erupted between the divinities of the cosmos. No longer bound by the sacred oaths of creation that had bestowed & guaranteed their domains of influence, the very nature of creation was ripe to be taken and reshaped by those of particular divine ambition. Indeed, with the loss of the heavenly accord came a further prospect for those of mortal blood. No longer bound by the circumstances of their birth, any who could slay a god would now rise to divinity in their stead.

Thus it was that two storied mortal shapeshifters now stood united against the banal cruelty of the god of machines, slicing their way through the mass of metal that had once made up its immortal visage. The great bear rent through the alloyed skeleton of the god with ease, whilst the mighty serpent coiled itself around the construct god’s vulnerable joints as an inescapable adversary. As the divinity stumbled, the two shapeshifters combined their might to decapitate the behemoth, severing the connection between body and processor and freeing the divine spark within. Yet neither shapeshifter sought to claim the spark, for theirs was a different mission of faith. They had sought out to kill Gods, not become them, and there were many more foes still yet to fall.
