A fresh Progressive Metal outfit from the metropolitan rumble of Sydney. We strive to write timeless music which will be listened to for years to come.

Combining a plethora of different musical backgrounds and writing styles, Ex Curia began as an outlet for Sydney based singer-songwriter/producer James Devlin to write heavier and more complex music. James' vision was to develop a band that could push the boundaries of Australian heavy music into uncharted progressive territory. James had organised a six piece band by 2010 and begun writing music for a concept album he nicknamed 'Reasoned Insanity'.

Ex Curia's discography consists of 'The First Demo' 2011, their single 'Warned' 2012 and their most recent release, 'Reasoned Insanity' 2013. They teamed up with Urchin Productions in 2012 and recorded three film clips for songs on Reasoned Insanity.
