Afonso Silva (Crawler) is a Portuguese producer known for his dark and restless beats. From experimental to skull-step his sound scream for destruction. Inspired by futuristic and sci-fi perspectives, his work is a portrait of a front seat to world annihilation through technological and natural causes. In 2020 this picture became even more clear and this release is not only a reflection of it, but a message of hope to.

"The Last Ones" EP is painted with post-apocalyptic imagery and mechanical textures which teleports you to another time far away in the humankind future. From exploding snares to hard banging kicks, the heavy and gritty basslines emerge with convoluted lead sounds that melt in your ears, textures of obscure scenarios that surrounds you with fear and hope for a better future.

Aleksey Strokov know internationally as TOBAX is a young high calibre Drum & Bass DJ and producer who’s latest releases have won the support and praise from the likes of Noisia, June Miller, Ed Rush, Mejfus and A.M.C.
Having started his Drum & Bass career in the summer of 2010 under the name ‘Electronic Star’ Aleksey decided on the name TOBAX later that year. His music favours the harder side of DnB whilst also incorporating aspects of atmospheric backdrops in his music.
2011 is where Tobax career began to gain serious momentum as he started publishing his music by working with a number of smaller labels. In May of the same year TOBAX took to the stage in St Petersburg playing at ‘Griboedov’ where his mix was also featured on the radio and in 2013 TOBAX released successful tracks under Fokuz and Citrus Recordings.
The arrival of 2015 saw releases of his VIP version of ‘Mezzanine’ under Titan Records followed by his VIP version of ‘Lockdown’ which was released on the ‘5 Years of Titan Records Compilation, and it was these releases which gave him the launch pad for international bookings DJ’ing at nights across Europe such as the award winning ‘Double Trouble’ in Prague.
TOBAX is a DJ and Producer who pushes boundaries and in 2016 he teamed up with Prague based UK artist LifeSize MC to release ‘Extaziest/Golem’. Also collaborations with Disprove, Malux, Current Value.
With bookings already coming in and new releases being finalised, 2017 looks to be another exciting year for this young heavyweight producer from Russia who gains support from the likes of prolific artists such as Phace and Current Value.

JK FLESH is the pseudonym employed by Justin K Broadrick for his work within heavy electronica/techno - informed by industrial, dub & power electronics. Justin initially used this pseudonym in Techno-Animal with co-conspirator Kevin Martin (The Bug). Justin began his career in Napalm Death recording and writing the music for Side A of the legendary album 'SCUM', he then went onto form Godflesh and eventually post shoe gaze outfit Jesu, all the while continuing with his first ever project from the early 80's the noise/ambient guise FINAL. JK Flesh has releases on Electric Deluxe, Downwards, Hospital Productions, Inner Surface and many more with many more to come.

EXE - M041 - Justin K Broadrick Presents: Tech Level 2 (2020)

We're beyond happy that we've been able to invite the one-man sonic monolith that is Justin K Brodrick (of Godflesh, Jesu, Zonal and JK Flesh fame) to perform an exclusive 90s / early 00s, vinyl only DJ mix in celebration of his recently resurrected drum and bass alias Tech Level 2.

Tech Level 2 was created back in 1999  and from the very start garnered support from some of drum and bass's original architects including his tracks played to open Grooverider's BBC Radio 1 show. Broadrick later disbanded the project in 2004 having released a run of singles signed to Teknological, Hardleaders and Tigerbeats Sub label Shockout. Until now. Returning some 16 years later with his new EP 'Revolve' that invokes memories of the Valve sound-system with those long sinister basslines and creeping electronic vibes iconic to the period of time in rave history.

So, get locked into this masterfully selected 1 hour mix performed exclusively for EXE Project, Play loud or GTFO.

He initially used this pseudonym in Techno-Animal with co-conspirator Kevin Martin (The Bug).
Justin is known for his history as GODFLESH, JESU, FINAL, ZONAL (formerly Techno-Animal), etc, and for writing the music/guitar on Side A of the legendary 'Scum' album by Napalm Death.
JK Flesh has releases on Electric Deluxe, Downwards, Hospital Productions and many more with many more to come.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from JK Flesh. “Poundland” comes off the new split EP See Red, which features two new tracks from JK Flesh and 2 tracks from Monrella. Both Justin Broadrick (JK Flesh) and Mick Harris (Monrella) have been active for multiple decades, first coming together with legendary metal outfits Napalm Death and Scorn and then embarking on near mythical odysseys with Broadrick’s Godflesh and Harris’ Lull and Fret among countless other projects. Few have had a similar impact across genres as these two artists and when I saw they were releasing a split techno EP, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. 

See Red delivers just what we all want - a crushing, industrialized sound that obliterates boundaries and is seething with anger and destruction. “Poundland”, our premiere today, proves once again JK Flesh remains at the top of the class when it comes to unrelenting, pulverizing sounds. To mark this excellent release, I had the honor to speak with BOTH Broadrick and Harris for a short interview about the EP, 2020 and more.
