So, when she noticed that everyone else from the pre-bracket was starting to work with some competitors, Pearl knew that she had to hop on board and looked for the one person of the group that hadn't gone yet- Basil. Though initially hesitant, Pearl was able to get Basil to collaborate with the squid girl, though...it's a little vague what happened once the collaboration actually began...
