Jeff Hirsch, aka MDL8 (short for Modulate), crafts futuristic, bass-driven dance music built for late-night basements and peak-hour intensity. His obsession with sound began in 2011 during a music programming class at Carleton College, where technology and creativity fused into a lifelong pursuit.

Guided by a technical education in electrical and computer engineering, and shaped by years as an athlete, musician, and DJ, MDL8 channels both precision and physical energy into every production. After a decade-long engineering career, he committed fully to music, shaping a sound that delivers club-focused power while still striking an emotional chord.
