Takeaway boxes gathering around you like silent witnesses to your demise. Chain-smoking. Starting letters, deleting them over and over. Calling your shrink to raise the dose. Maybe this time it will go away, but you know it won’t. When you beg for closure, only to realize you’re begging yourself.
