An extended mix from Rrose to celebrate our entry into 2023 and the upcoming release of TULIP SPACE [EAUX1591] available for pre-order now at https://eaux.ro/album/tulip-space and the upcoming full-length album PLEASE TOUCH (full announcement in Spring). The mix contains tracks from both releases.

This is a studio mix, started with an initial live take and then combed over meticulously with automated filters, eq, and fx. This is the same setup I use to play out, minus the automation. There is rarely a point when only one track is playing. I always try to find mixes that feel like a new track emerges from the combination. I imagine the optimal listening environment to be eyes-closed with headphones on, but I also hope you will feel an irresistible urge to move at some points ;)

A regular at Interdimensional Transmissions' No Way Back parties in Detroit and beyond, Carlos Souffront brings a brilliant sense of creative alchemy to the decks, combining years of experience and digging with a sensibility like no other. Abstract rhythms meld together into inexplicable chaos magic. We have Carlos Souffront, perhaps the true lord of acid returning from the depraved depths of the San Francisco underground to unleash his unique moody vision, killing it in his closing set for IT's Come Feel The Acid party on March, 3, 2013 (3/03). His first set warming up for Tin Man was also stellar, but that pure late night intensity really shines through on this mix. His first song is Hieroglyphic Being's "The Lost Transmission", mixing out of BMG playing Erika's "Tow Ride (Marcellus Pittman Remix)."
