Katharsys began in 2001 when Hugo Figuera and Tom L  start producing their first drum and bass tracks, inspired by the dark grooves and demented beats of artists such as Tech Itch, Dylan, Kemal, Konflict, Photek and Ice Minus to name just a few. After countless hours of waveshaping and savage beat processing, the duo were ready to begin releasing in 2004. Katharsys, from the ancient greek word "catharsys" meaning the emotional cleansing of the audience in relation to drama, is an extreme change in emotion. The main focus of the duo is to create intense sounds which evoked that kind of extreme changes, into electronic music. Producing from darkstep to neurofunk hard drum&bass, Katharsys has reached different labels, such as Habit (US),Guerilla (US), Barcode (UK), Sinuous (UK), and Obscene (UK), and have progressed to playing their hard as balls sets out to fans around Europe.
Katharsys's tunes appear on many dj mixes from Counterstrike, Donny, Dylan, Cooh, Evol Intent, Audio, Dj Hidden, Nanotek, Dean Rodell and Forbidden Society.

Subtrakt has been dealing left field and hard edged music since 2005. It continues doing exactly that adding new names to the already impressive rooster

after several years of djing, live gigs and hosting events, the Valian Kollektiv continues to steadily (re)shape its profile as an audiovisual collective. they'll be displaying their latest vision of arrayed lights and space at the polymetrik party series (currently at ://about blank), in the sonic environment of a well curated techno party. in the podcast series we are promoting upcoming artists from a wide spectrum of electronic dance music.

Since the early 90s, DJ Upzet has been a devoted fan of electronic music. From the very beginning, he was drawn to Acid Techno, Rave, and Trance. In 1997, at just sixteen, he discovered his all-consuming love for Drum & Bass and and within a year, he was behind the decks. In 2001, he had begun organizing Dnb events in and around Mannheim, which, at the time, was Germany’s DnB capital city.
In 2009, Upzet made the move to Berlin, where he continued DJing and commenced promoting club event series like "Out of Mind", "Step higher", "Infected", "Lucid Dreaming", and other special party nights. Fast forward to 2015, he has been running the VOID Berlin, which he recently managed to enlarge. Thus, today, he is the owner and operator of VOID Club and VOID Hall. 
During the pandemic lockdownn, he reconnected with music production. His first track was released on Scientific Records with more to follow soon.
Today, Upzet’s signature styles are Liquid, Deep, Dark, Tech, Neuro, and Jumpup, though he’s no stranger to mixing Oldskool Jungle, Happy Breaks, or even Dark and Melodic Techno - bringing an infectious energy to every set. Above all, he crafts his mixes with one core principle: harmony.

I'm an impassioned nonverbalist, your personal robot, a masked killer and co-founder of Metroccolis living in Berlin. I love daring music of all genres as long as I can feel the musician's heart put into his or her work. Always looking for new music for my stage performances.
