Welcome to my Art Gallery!

Attached, you will find songs I've written for the past three years. Art Gallery has been a sort of exercise in writing about art.

The first track, Siddal, is titled after English model and poet Elizabeth Siddal, who has been featured in numerous works by Dante Rossetti. 

The third track, Death of an Author, is titled after the Roland Barthes essay "Death of the Author," which is worth a read.

The fourth track, MoMA, is titled after the Museum of Modern Art.

The fifth track, Prix de Rome, is titled after a prestigious, French art award and scholarship.

The seventh track, Ringgold, is titled after renowned American artist Faith Ringgold, known for her bright paintings and vibrant quilts. 

The ninth track, Natterer, is titled after renowned German painter, August Natterer, known for his religious paintings. 

The tenth and final track, Schneider, is titled after actress and advocate Maria Schneider, who starred opposite Marlon Brando in Last Tango in Paris.

The most important part of this record was making it, so I don't mind putting it out in the world without having marketed it much. Besides, what with the quarantine, I feel like you all have no other choice but to listen to it.
