Brooklyn's Bad Colours returns to Bastard Jazz with a brand new summertime house jam featuring Dave Giles II (Dave & Sam / Classic Music Co / Defected) on vocals. "Back Outside" is a celebration of getting back outside in the world, finally getting back into party mode, and the return of real life DJ culture to the world. Featuring Bad Colour's signature bass and synth combo & 4 to the floor drums and percussion, "Back Outside" is the perfect joint for BBQs, rooftop jams, and getting the club moving at night.
	Bad Colours is the moniker of London-born, Maryland-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Ibe Soliman. With influences of garage from both sides of the Atlantic as well as funk, post-disco, proto-house and rap samples; his debut album ‘PINK’ was released by Bastard Jazz in February 2021.
	Known for his residencies at some of New York’s top venues, Ibe has been rocking crowds as a DJ for over a decade, and has shared the decks with the likes of James Murphy, Mark Ronson, and Q-Tip. He’s performed alongside Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Pusha T, and Young Thug, to name a few. In high demand as a private party curator, he’s helped set the tone for Jeff Koons, FKA Twigs, Justin Timberlake, Travis Scott, and Usher. When Ibe’s not behind the decks, he’s in the lab, where he’s produced for Kendrick Lamar, Faith Evans, Keyshia Cole, and Rick Ross, among others.

Funny how i came across this simple but brief project from years ago! Cleaning out the external hard drive i came across this edit of the Young Disciples. One of my favorite Acid Jazz, Downtempo groups from the early 90's that i discovered via Talkin' Loud! Talkin' Loud is an amazing label that pumped out forward thinking electronic & eclectic sounds in the 90's. In the scheme of things, was the infamous Giles Peterson, "mr. world wide" to many us that check out his show from time to time.
