OUT TOMORROW! Bun The Grid returns for Round 007 with this deadly concoction courtesy of TMSV with remix’s from A.Fruit aka Russia’s Most Wanted and BTG’s Head Honcho Bulu. The release fully spans BTG’s exploratory approach to music, a no-holds barred aesthetic. Today we are premiering Bulu’s Remix of Mountain (wait here), sticking true to the labels style this remix has flipped the original right on its head and cranked the tempo +30bpm. This track combines styles you wouldnt expect, fusing jump up / foghorn style bass’s with broken beat halftime grooves, ominous effects and random bursts of amens. I love when producers reference different styles and join the dots between them to create something instantly recognisable/enjoyable but also
unique and refreshing. Legend has it Bulu created these rare refined foghorns in the london underground network, repeatedly echo-ing TMSV’s original bass’s between stations, until they had soaked up that dirty UK flavour and grit.
