If you've been following Booms and Claps for a while, you're certainly familiar with both Andre Lira AKA Doctor Jeep and China-based imprint Unchained Recordings at this point. Although Andre is undoubtedly known for his range and multi-tempo excursions, ranging UK funky to techno to dubstep and grime to more umptempo "halftime DnB" sounds, his releases that could be considered traditional drum & bass are rare in the grand scheme of his vast discography. That being said, you would never guess he's not a seasoned DnB veteran from the expert vision and production of his three-tracker entitled "Unreal EP," forthcoming on Unchained on Friday, April 10th, 2020.

Today's premiere comes in the form of "Angel VIP," a contemporary DnB revisit to his 2014 club-rattling 130bpm anthem "Angel." The original tune was released on the now defunct Trouble & Bass (RIP) and has been known for years as one of Doctor Jeep's standout productions. The VIP version you hear today creates an entirely new shell to carry the always-notable buzzing melody into 2020. Check it out above, and be sure to cop the full release when it drops on 4/10/2020.
