Beginning with the ghettotech entranced flip of Who Da Funk's 2002 bottle service club sensation 'Shiny Disco Balls, the second iteration of HomeSick's Calibration series is followed by two Baile Funk edits sampling two iconic 2010 club anthems including the lead line of Pitbull's iconic 'Hotel Room Service' and Far East Movement's 'Like a G6'.

Shiny Disco Balls

Product Toss joins the NHS for 'Plug Gulp' which follows suit as a 4-track walk through the springy, sonically-gouged production style that the Newcastle-based artist has offered to the electronica world over the past few years. Disparate in BPM, structure and inspiration, drawing idiosyncratically from Dubstep, UK Bass and UK Funky, yet the vibe is profoundly dynamic and versatile in it's engineering. Occupied with mid frequency hums and inflections, bouncing against tight, syncopated percussion made seemingly from hollowed out origins.

The journey across the collection follows the progression of mood and atmosphere akin to leftfield club music nightlife, with our artist drawing inspiration from their own experiences across many moments found only after-dark. A desire to capture the evolution of such track's natural habitat is what informed Product Toss throughout their conception, and the 4 tracks nestle comfortably into this space - Functional, DJ-ready tracks destined to influence movement.

Oct 18th, Joog Music releases Vol.2 of their V.A "For the Low (End Lovers)" compilation. Today we  have a premiere of prolific Bay Area producer UFO!'s contribution "Tagger." 
Some words from the label about this release; "About a year ago we spent two months in the UK traveling, meeting amazing artists, raving, and connecting with long time internet friends. We left the UK super inspired and as a result, started Joog Music. Over the last year we’ve been working OT to put out releases we truly believed in. It has been so endearing seeing our friends come up with us as we build this little platform, and through it made new friends and connections.
   We got 26 killer tunes from local, internet, and international friends we’ve met on our travels! With this compilation, it was important to us that we represent Bay Area talent (very overlooked!), that we put on our friends we’ve met around the world, and that we capture up and coming talent that we’ve been obsessed with.
   With 160 and Jungle (but not limited to) at the core of our criteria list, we picked out these tracks with dancers and DJs equally in mind. The compilation spans across various rave genres but still represents a cohesive vision of what Joog Music wants to curate for people that love to rave as much as we do.
   We hope this becomes part of the rotation in the soundtrack of your life, as it has been for us! We hope you also feel inspired to make music and create your own network of party people in your corner of the world.
