These three have been cooking up some seriously hot shit of late, with heater after heater smashing up the dance left right and centre. And while each of them are obviously quite close to the label, we have to say we’re pretty damn happy to have them back on CIA again, but this time with a full blown EP, ‘Big Up Inna Dance’!

The Sauce have quickly and surely made a name for themselves amongst almost everyone in the scene, for big weighty weapons (their tunes, thanks) that go off everywhere, but always have that certain je ne sais quoi about them.

Their ‘Big Up Inna Dance’ EP delivers a triplet of whappers that will have the subs shakling, the air con rattling and the ceiling dripping but are still going to keep your ears interested, long after you got back from the club and went to bed and got up again the next day. Salmon are one of the world’s best-known fishes. Admittedly for most of us they’re probably best recognisable as sashimi, but salmon are unique creatures that lead epic lives in the wild. Salmon reproduce in freshwater but travel to the ocean for their adult lives. Using extraordinary navigation instincts, salmon will swim back up river to the same streams they were born in to reproduce in turn. They’re the athletes of the fish world and can swim 50 kilometres a day and jump though fast-flowing rapids in their journey upstream. Climate change is warming up rivers, reducing salmon’s ability to breed and thrive. As a ‘keystone’ species they are vital for the survival of other creatures in their ecosystems. We’ll donate all release proceeds to Ocean Conservancy to support conservation efforts.

The next release in our H3O series comes from Echomatics, a talented producer hailing from Canada. Known for his highly musical and lush soundscapes, Echomatics has established a reputation within the scene, with releases on labels such as Fokuz, Celsius, and 170+ Recordings, among others. We’re excited to present his "Daydream EP" on T3K Recordings, which features smooth, heartfelt Liquid Drum & Bass—a perfect addition to our aquatic H3O series.

Beginning his musical production career with drum and bass / breakbeats in the late 90’s, ASC became known for his editing abilities and intricate productions. James progressed rapidly with his intuitive talent enabling him to grow into one of the scenes most respected ‘intelligent’ producers of his era with a series of releases - most notably on his own label Covert Operations, Good Looking, 720 Degrees and Paradox’s Outsider label.

Around 2010, ASC became an integral part of the Autonomic sound with an LP on Instra:mental’s Non Plus label, James’ production was reduced into a new form and breakbeats became less and less integral to his sound.

With a recent resurgence in golden era sounding Drum and Bass / Jungle, we began planting seeds to draw James back into flex his considerable editing prowess with 20 years of production experience to draw on.

Once lured into his hard drives to dig out breaks, ‘An Exact Science’ flowed rapidly and effortlessly for James. Covering several prevalent sounds of the most revered era of DnB but propelling them into 2020, the EP once again reminds us that ASC can turn his skill and ear to any sound and make it his own. From the soaring luminous amenism of Moment of Truth to the dead eye precision of In The Shadows and Worlds of Ice, James injects a sensibility that elevates the tracks on An Exact Science into a place of their own, belying any historical anchors attached to their vibe.

An Exact Science is a fantasy of long time ASC fans have had for many years (ourselves included) come to life with results that surpass our imagined results.

ASC - Fatal Error

Exit Records is at forefront of electronic music, constantly pushing the envelope in terms of aesthetic and execution.
Label owner dBridge strikes a careful balance between releasing music that serves a purpose for dancers and thinkers alike. The roster of artists involved in the label is allowed express themselves as they see fit with only one stipulation; pushing the genre forward.
The Exit Records club nights are typically riotous affairs- they stand as a mix of the most cutting-edge music crossed with a firm eye on the dancefloor, from stages at festivals to residencies at clubs across the world, the events are known to sell out.
As the label enters its 15th year of existence a confidence in sound and direction has come to the fore and this is what cements Exit Records as a go-to label for those inside and out of the genre.
