In the aftermath of an explosion at the city's main port exactly 1 month ago that caused unthinkable amount of damage to the city of Beirut and displaced hundreds of thousands of people. In addition, the damage and destruction of infrastructure and buildings throughout the city (including many cultural spaces, heritage sites, museums, hospitals, studios), not to mention the injured, homeless and hungry families who are in survival mode.

Poison Arrow is the new endeavor of Colombian artist Natalia Escobar. She makes music that infuses Berlin decadence with Colombian Grit, reflecting her experience working with audio visual installations and Dj-ing in many places from Säule at Berghain to fashion events for the likes of Alyx. She is mixing her Colombian roots with hypnotic, provocative electronic music. Her first release ‘If You Don’t Love me (I’ll Cut Your Face)’ is inspired by the song ‘La Cuchilla’ by Las Hermanitas Calle, icons of Carrilera music a regional folk scene that emerged as a means of catharsis from broken hearts and as a respite from the hard-working and sometimes violent existence of the local coffee farmers life. Poison Arrow provides a modern interpretation of this unique cultural heritage; the results are bass heavy, intense tracks that are sexy, confrontational and refreshingly unexpected.

Following the release of her debut EP If You Don’t Love Me (I’ll Cut Your Face), Poison Arrow presents the remixes; a two-track limited edition dubplate with additional productions of Casa Show from Heart Drive (dBridge and Kid Drama) and of “If You Don’t Love Me (ill Cut Your Face)” from Nathan Jonson.

Heart Drive’s long awaited reunion comes in the form of “Slow Bleed Mix”, a throbbing, rhythmic arousal, where you can hear dislocated seductive vocalizations that tease your mind until it burst into a sudden climax of red--evoking the spirit of the Colombian cantina for broken hearts that inspired the original title of “Casa Show”.

Nathan Jonson’s interpretation of “If You Don’t Love Me (ill Cut Your Face)” is like a fever dream of the original, drifting in and out of consciousness while presenting a series of hallucinatory revelations. “Falling In Love Even Though Is A Trap Mix”  tips its hat to the heyday of electro while boldly predicting its future.
