Critical Music founder Kasra Mowlavi has launched Best Intentions, a new label with the aims of no musical limitations, style or tempo.

‘Flower Burial’, a project by gyrofield blends influences from house, techno, ambient and acid jazz under a backdrop of ambiguous melodramatic mysticism.

A portion of profits will go to a charity of the artist’s choosing: gyrofield has chosen Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Elizar Mel explores uncharted depths of sound with the Baikon EP, featuring four immersive tracks that seamlessly blend minimal halftime rhythms with haunting techno and dark ambient. Heavy on atmospherics and brooding in tone, each track envelops the listener in a rich tapestry of industrial undertones.

Blood Trust advances the Digital Red Label Series with “To Live For” and “To Die For” – twin sonic assaults locked in at 170 BPM.

“To Live For” leads off with an undercurrent of jungle-inflected turbulence, strengthened by stark tech-step scaffolding and squelchy bass rumblings. A mechanical yet fluid syncopation rushes the momentum forward, carrying interlocking pieces that never seem to collide.

Descending further into darkness, “To Die For” joins fragments of hardcore punk samples with “Under the Skin” style string swells, punctuated by buzzing drum edits and driving percussion. A stripped back, steppy interlude eases the tension before the track reforms its menacing core.

It was titled "They Live" and was a stellar showcase of the deep, pensive, thoughtful electronics that he has become best known for. Now the label have announced a new remix package which features some hugely talented producers in what is a tastefully  curated affair.

Label owner dBridge strikes a careful balance between releasing music that serves a purpose for dancers and thinkers alike. The roster of artists involved in the label is allowed express themselves as they see fit with only one stipulation; pushing the genre forward.
The Exit Records club nights are typically riotous affairs- they stand as a mix of the most cutting-edge music crossed with a firm eye on the dancefloor, from stages at festivals to residencies at clubs across the world, the events are known to sell out.
As the label enters its 15th year of existence a confidence in sound and direction has come to the fore and this is what cements Exit Records as a go-to label for those inside and out of the genre.
