For its last release of 2023, When We Dip XYZ is proud to present a three track remix pack of Motip White’s ‘Clean the Turbines’ EP. 

Kicking things off is Atish, chopping and pitching Motip White’s vocal from ‘What Do You Want Me to Say.’ The Manjumasi label-boss complements the track with a rolling bassline, glitches hitting left, right, and centre, and the gritty bass fills from the original. 
 
Also taking on ‘What Do You Want Me to Say,’ Gespona & Djolee craft huge percussion rolls and manipulate White’s layers and textures. The two artists, who have just launched their own label ‘Rummel,’ leave room for the memorable hook halfway through, which then recedes in favour of the heavy drums. 

Third up is Meera with her take on ‘Clean the Turbines.’ Faithful to her style, which has recently been showcased on VOD and Crosstown Rebels, she opposes a subby kick with a tempest of hats & shakers, harmonically guided by a light piano. The Norwegian producer keeps on building the energy, surprisingly introducing her own vocals and an acid layer on the arp as the tune unfolds.

Sinchi Music's always-interesting Altered States series hits volume number 10 and again curates a wide range of exciting talents from across the globe with music from Brazil, Mexico, the US, Germany, Lithuania and Bali.

Encanto is a pseudonym of the versatile Leonardo Ferreira, a Brazilian artist who embraces the nomadic life and turns it into a rich artistic expression. He has played all over South America and mixes up house and techno with samples and sounds from the 80s and 90s on the likes of U're Guay Records and Cutting Corners. His electro gem 'Esquiva' is a mystic blend of warped synths and ice-cold broken beats that reverberate with cosmic darkness.

Bruce Wine focuses on the dark and enigmatic side of industrial techno, wave and disco and is one-half of a live act with the acclaimed Ninasonik. He once again transports listeners to unknown and fascinating soundscapes on his excellent 'Olmeca Dream', a stark mix of arresting synth drones and menacing bass with plenty of eerie open space.

Lukas Feser is a DJ wizard who has branched out to production with great success after playing records for over a decade. He dives into psychedelic realms, tribal rhythms and ancient chants on 'Amahoro,' a steamy deep techno sound that snakes its way through jungle undergrowth amongst many paranoid voices.

Bali-based BRDN is known for a dark signature sound that explores shady disco, EBM, trance and electro as perfectly exemplified by 'Disco Jedi' with its twitchy and glitchy drums and laser-like synths. There is a sense of intergalactic warfare to this techno stomper that will light up any darkened back room.

Munich-based Alemao returns to Sinchi ahead of outings on the likes of Mélopée, Epicure and Weirdos Records. His superb 'Voyager' is a slow-burning but high-impact deep techno-disco trip with widescreen pads and a forlorn sense of melancholy that lingers in the well-crafted synths.

American TDWS is powered by a passion for EBM, retro vibes, and the electrifying pulse of HI-NRG. On the fantastic 'Chameleon' the producer mixes up nostalgia with innovation and pushes the boundaries as he programs bright Italo arps over thudding post-punk drums. There is a celestial feel to the keys of this most bittersweet sound.

Sinchi Music has put together another global mix of cutting-edge and dark wave dance floor sounds here. Release Info: 
The first release of 2024 is quite a special one. Several Definitions is back on the label after his track on the latest VA. Now he brings us his 'Should We Given' EP, which includes two great remixes of debuting artists. The first one is by our Dutch friend Collé and the second one comes from the experienced Baime. The title track 'Should We Given' immediately sets the tone of this EP. The elements are nicely introduced during the intro, after which it gets cut down by the main groove. The high tension is guided by the mysterious voices and arp. Bringing it all towards a hard-hitting moment, you won't easy forget. In his remix Collé added a more swinging groove underneath some of the main parts of the original. Nevertheless, he managed to keep a lot tension by continuous make use of the vocal parts and ascending background atmospheres. The third track 'Intra Lumos' combines the darker low-freq elements with more euphoric synthwork. A track which consists of three parts. Where the middle part is the most impactful with twotight and sharp synths. The other parts are perfectly functioning as opposites with their blissful atmosphere. The final track of the EP is Baime his remix of 'Intra Lumos'. His characteristic raw lower components are accompanied by the more blissful elements taken from the original. He managed to keep the same structure, while making it a more vigorous composition.

Mateo Gonzales. In Mexico, even children know his name. One of the most versatile Latin American producers, known for his monikers Bufi, Theus Mago and Sonido Phantasma, one of the co-founders of Duro Label, he released a huge amount of music on such labels as Electrique Music, Kitsune, Discotexas, Platino, My Favorite Robot, Turbo Records etc, he is one of the pioneers of the Mexican modern electronic scene.
This is not his first collaboration with Los Angeles  producer Missy Livingston aka Moderna (known for her work with Ghostly International), at the beginning of last year they recorded together a powerful EP on Chloe's Kill The DJ.

This time they are released on another French, Marseille's label La Dame Noir. The new EP includes 3 original mixes plus remixes from Sebastian Voigt and a remix from the Mateo Gonzalez himself under one of his monikers - Bufi, which we are happy to present to you today.
Moderna & Theus Mago - Tecno Misogino (Bufi Remix) - a dancefloor-worthy groove monster, anchored by a funky, but menacing bassline with vocal cuts and a catchy guitar loop, rework that bringing original into a chugging, low slung
prowler with raw biker disco percussion. 
Yet again here La Dame Noir have served up a fresh modern dark disco package that packs real heat. Enjoy
