On the A-side of the Artist with the Joker mask presents the track "Knocking Birds". The high-tech minimal, as Brejcha describes his music himself, comes along a little dark. Sporadic bell ringing and spherical passages are combined and the beats evoke the idea of knocking birds. The B-side „LSD-Waterpipe“ begins with a increased heart rate, which harmonizes perfectly with the bush drums. From there it atmospherically goes on a space safari until the elevated pulse kicks in again.
With the intelligent sound design of "Club Vibes Part 4" the dance floors of the world can be conquered.

South African artist Blanka Mazimela joins MoBlack Records with "Thula," a three-track EP that embodies his keenness in harmonizing organic instrumentation with meaningful vocals and crisp electronic techniques. Starting "Thula" off radiantly, the title track illuminates Khonaye's evocative poetry with effervescent rhythms, tender melodies and airy undulations, combering through a mesmerizing house groove to finish. Next, the DJ/producer brings in Sobantwana to render poignant balladry at the crux of 'Mamtolo.' Driven by the verve of her croon, the track saunters deep into a kaleidoscope of penetrating cadences, quixotic riffs and cosmic reverie. Circling back home, 'Thula' ends with a riveting revelation. Mingling vulnerability with permeating sound patterns, visceral percussion and pulsating progressions, 'Pray for Me,' is both a juncture for connection and a redemptive procession through dance.

MBR513 - Blanka Mazimela - Thula feat. Khonaye  (Original Mix)

The seventh serving of Dessert is the work of Dumming Dum, an Italian artist currently based in London.DESSERT007 features two of Dumming Dum original productions alongside two very tasteful flips by Murat Uncuoglu and Baime.

The release leads with Aeden, a slow-burning chunk of industrial power house. Led by an alternating off-kilter vocal hook, it's dense layers of vintage drums and synthwork combine to conjure up a tantalisingly intense dancefloor trip. Sitting more towards the chugging end of the tempo spectrum, the slower BPM only adds more weight to the track's potency.

Second track Hononest takes on a more colourful hue, drawing strands from Italo, electro and acid house before honing them into a formidable concoction. The softer yin to Aeden's yang, its chopped female vocals provide the focal point while the arpeggiated synths behind it kick like clockwork.

The emotional peak of the record undoubtedly comes in the form of Murat Uncuoglu's stellar remix of Aeden. Working closely with the original, Uncuoglu ladens it with subtle percussive layers before steering it starwards. Rolling out a memorable, deliciously disjointed melody in the breakdown, his version is an eight minute masterclass in emotive techno.

Copenhagen-based duo Baime's Aeden remix closes out the release with aplomb, tapping into the tension and drive of the original while opening it up further with panoramic atmospherics. The addition of snarling saw-wave synths lends a grittier flex to a track which is guaranteed to do damage on many dancefloors.

It wasn't a long time ago, that we at Madorasindahouse released the first few remixes of AWEN’s first artist album: Dodi Palese, Monkey Safari, and Yamil, delivered their first interpretations of AWEN’s work, played in countless dancefloors around the world. 
Now that the dust has settled, it’s time to reveal the second batch of remixes, destined to become pillars of Dj-sets and playlists of afro house aficionados: Xinobi and Hyenah, envisioned Until It’s Time and Redemption into club-ready tracks, melodic, groovy, and most of all tracks full of soul, bringing AWEN’s voice to exciting new levels.
