‘Feel Alive’ is the latest track from Exposure on his label A R Records.
23rd of March 2023 marks 3 years since the first lockdown for Covid in UK (what a mad time that was!!). It was in that first week that this track was written in Exposure’s home in Easton, Bristol.

What came out was a 90’s rave inspired dance floor anthem, a celebration of life, music and our freedom to dance that was swiftly taken away from us during the pandemic.

Jungle drums, euphoric pads, synths and vocal samples make way for a weighty reece bass on the drop. Rave piano hooks inspired by the classics from the early rave era are sure to get your hands in the air.

Now living in Portugal and with plans of launching a festival, Exposure is working hard but always reminding himself of the need to feel alive.

Exposure 'Feel Alive' [A R Records]

t’s with great pleasure that we can welcome the formidable talent that is Ed:it back to the CIA fold. His last release for the label came a fair few years back now, in which time this fine producer has been slowly but surely honing his craft. Always one with an ear for the subtleties within the music and an ability to produce a range of styles, while his output may have quietened down over the last year or two, his work-rate in the studio appears to have done quite the opposite. These latest four tracks that he has given CIA seem to have many of the elements and personality traits of his earlier work, but with a further refinement and quality to them. 
‘The Keep’ comprises of four cuts, ranging from deep late night rollers, jungle inspired dub work-outs and all the way round to beautifully melancholic musical pieces. This body of work truly contains something for everyone, and while it nods to several of the important heritage points within our music, it sounds contemporary and cutting edge - the perfect middle ground for a constantly growing and developing musician.

It's time for DrumObsession Podcast 002!

We are a collective of music enthusiasts behind Poland's longest-running drum & bass music night, based in the city of Poznań. Since 2006 we have been dedicated to bringing the best vibe and fresh tunes to open-minded clubgoers and listeners. Everytime we think we've got him figured out, he switches up his style like a chameleon. From his early releases on Formation, Prototype drawing from jazzy flavours and techstep alike, through the anthemic hardcore Metalheadz vibes of "Up All Night", onto the tearout amens, synthetic electrostep and big room trancey vibes he championed on his own Beta Recordings - he refused to get pigeonholed and never really took himself too seriously. 

In the pandemic times he's also become a prolific Twitch streamer, with two weekly shows showcasing both upfront music and classic/vintage vinyl-only sets. They're worth checking out for the visuals alone - John's put a ton of work into making his streams look unique and it truly shows (not to mention it's hillarious!).
