@XXXTheLabel is a new dutch label created by a bunch of friends that run the eponym "XXX" club nights in Amsterdam. We supported their very cool first release by "Jack Pattern" through our infamous Youtube channel and now comes in a few weeks the second one by Lipsky brother's Simple Symmetry . We do really like their unique fresh blend and premiered not so long ago their track Kalimba on "Cosmic Pint Glass". But to change a bit the game, here is the Marvin & Guy's Afterhour Mix, a long 10 mn epic cut you'd already wish to hear at 6am. in a summer beach festival on those "hands in the air" euphoric moments ! Following a debut EP on Golf Channel in 2015, Autarkic aka Nadav Spiegel has risen in status alongside his close friends and collaborators Red Axes and Moscoman. His recent debut LP for Disco Halal has garnered critical acclaim. Spiegel clearly has a rare talent as a songwriter, crafting the kind of intelligent, left-field pop music that one usually has to look back to the avant-garde of the 1980s to find.  If things were more downtempo, experimental and psych rock on his first EPs, these tracks for Turbo point squarely at the dance-floor, and have been staples in the sets of not only Moscoman and Red Axes, but in the other rising stars of the underground Israeli scene around labels like Malka Tuti and Fortuna records, as well as the global groove empire developing around Turbo A&R Thomas Von Party’s Multi Culti. Out 29th July !

The jewel in the crown of Israel’s underground music scene, Red Axes have produced a steady stream of hits on labels like Permanent Vacation, I’m A Cliché, Crosstown Rebels, and on our all-inclusive culti label where they dropped what became, somewhat surprisingly, their biggest hit to date with Waiting For a Surprise. The dark, stripped down disco bomb had one of the most memorable hooks of the year in singer Abrão’s staccato chorus, a late night voodoo incantation that was always begging to be remixed. 

We asked fellow Tel Avivian Moscoman to direct his hot hands to the guitar, mellowing things slightly, stretching out the hooks and adding layers of ambulant percussion to his signature middle eastern flair. The man you love to hate to love breaks his bread and shares it with us all.

Next up on Exotic Refreshment we welcome Agawe, duo of producers from Turkey. Together they produced percussive and melodic textures with their own sound designs for the gem of their two weeks seclusion in a studio in the forest. The duo presents the EP with afro house and modern melodic touches while being inspired by the balance between wilderness and serenity for their leitmotive.

'Confused Karma' turns into an indefinable wildness with the mixed of ethereal vocal, cosmic pads, tribal zippy percussions, rhythmic synth flute pattern, field recordings and lead melodies illuminating two different stories.

'Leza' elicits a dynamic flow with the native flutes, tropical creatures, orchestral instruments, swinging synth, african vocal and percussions arising from an enchanted jungle.
