When I first explored the label called Controlla, I was both shocked and surprised, and couldn't imagine such a thing existed in the audio-visual universe. Some years passed, and while it turned out we're running a Mexican-music-outlet @the_ali_x suddenly approached Complaint with crazy track ideas. Now we're talking.

Budapest's Tommy Huracán (aka @kobanya3000) made me wait over a year for this remix, but it's worth every day rolling the Rubik's around. The most consistent and perfect production of the EP, I'm proud, and have tears in my eyes each time listening to it. Thank you!

Natal Zaks aka Mr. IRL sets the bar for fellow Århus based label 'Lightweight Electronics', contributing a 13 track LP to make up the label's inaugural release tited 'Synthesized Emotion', which was simutaniously produced to soundtrack a film produced by Natal, commissioned by the team at Strøm Festival. 

Staying true to Natal's varied output across varied monikers, 'Synthesized Emotion' is an eclectic display of a forward-thinking producer; giving nuances to how futuristic dance music would sound in space, curating the soundtrack for a stunning film, of which you can view here: https://vimeo.com/446785453 

The current offering perfectly embodies the LP's sound, and accompanying visuals. With a cosmic feel summated by heavily syncopated drums, terrestrial synth squeals and a gurgling bassline, extra terrestrial travel has never sounded so possible.

UK producer BufoBufo (Ritual Poison / Batrachian Records) brings his amphibious sound to the growing Scottish Highland based label. The ‘Potholing’ EP takes its name from the definition of ‘underground cave exploration’, with three original tracks that pull you further into the deep, dark sounds of underground rave.

‘Cave Network’ sets the tone for the EP, immersed in acid-like textures, deep sweeping pads and interchanging breaks rhythms. Second in is ’Giant Antlion’ with cosmic style analog arp’s that lift towards a hefty breaks / bass combo, then ‘Blue Demoiselle’ takes you back to the surface with a rolling breaks number smothered in dreamlike pads and uplifting melodics. London based producer - and Ritual Poison co-runner - Corporeal Face ties the EP up with a phenomenal twist on ‘Cave Network’.

The ‘Patholing’ EP releases on Kouncil Cuts on November 13th.
