Thomas Bergersen - Hymn To Life

An amateur pianist. I will mostly upload piano instrumentals. Sometimes guitars or violins. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Oh and I usually follow back. I will repost and try to promote any piece of music or musician I like.

I started playing piano at age 4. As I played pieces by Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn, and others, I practiced while always imagining what they were thinking as they played.
I possess perfect pitch. I also have synesthesia, which allows me to see sounds in colors. 
I started playing Contrabass at age 13 and cello at age 16. My encounter with string instruments has heightened my sensitivity. I am fascinated by the low sounds and have discovered that they heal me.
After gaining experience playing in an orchestra, I began playing Jazz double bass at age 18 and became familiar with big band jazz. 
I was influenced by the world of artists like Ron Carter, Sammy Nestico, and Jaco Pastorius.
I also have experience playing electric bass guitar. 
However, I still prefer the warmth of the wood bass tone.
From an early age, I learned to heal myself by composing my thoughts, and now as an adult, I share my work with the world in this way. I wrote my first composition, entered it in an original composition contest, and performed it in front of a large audience when I was eight years old. The title of the piece was "Sad Cat."
I still remember that melody. I've always been able to put a story into music.
I would be very happy if someone, somewhere, could be healed by my music.

I'm grateful for my hearing, which allows me to listen to music, and for the people who listen to my music. Thank you.
