Generally, I'm loving Christmas, honestly /
But last year was something different and it got to me /
The only thing upon my wishlist was where and who I'd rather have got to see /
Still wanting to swap these gifts properly /

Coz I was six thousand miles away at my ex's parents house /
Thinkin 'bout my mum an' dad, there without me sharing out /
Gifts I bought 'em /
It was there that I fathomed my relationship was curtain calling /

And it had to be the sadest one I've celebrated /
Not because her parents were'nt sound; they were, but when it's failing /
You find it difficult to interact and /
All I could think of was how I'd love to be in Bradford /

Coz when I think of times past; I know I was lucky /
Got more than I deserved though my parents didn't have money /
I was thankful of my presents; nearly all I remember /

That this year's highly anticipated, but I'm simply stating /
