This collection consists entirely of live recordings, gleaned from many hundreds of hours spent listening to live concert recordings of the band. A good deal of the songs are 2-track recordings taken from the Dick’s Picks series of releases, although some more hi-fi multi-track recordings, like the hallowed Europe ‘72 version of Morning Dew, are included. The arresting sonic narrative pulls us unforgivingly into the depths of the subconscious - it is an inexorable descent into an underworld, a beguiling journey through forgotten technocratic wastelands and mutating apparitions. 

Psychosomatic polyphonies spill into the space, an amorphous field of outer-space frequencies. Vocal transmissions dictate the quiet historical drama throughout, marking the cinematic transitions that seep across this fluid backdrop.
