American Wrestlers - I Can Do No Wrong

For the following release of our EP Hors-Série by the French producer Humana, we decided to present a set of remix consisting of tracks reworked by very different artists, French & Belgian. 
Concerning Another Pixel, he decided to make the ''Glide'' track more tribal and sounding hardware.
Omnistenn really made it contrasted, with the ''Natural V2'' track, a remix both raw, acid and finally housy. 
Siel went a another way with ''Surge'' that he remixes more deep oriented, a kind of dub techno. 
To finish, we asked to our belgian friend Ëlohim to try something with the parts of "Glide" and this UFO remix was born in two nights only.

When Metz found themselves on tour in San Diego with a couple of hours to spare, Swami John Reis immediately booked some studio time with the hopes of capturing the glorious noise of their collaboration. The four of them came up with 2 songs and now they are friends for life. The sound is reminiscent of an army of sea gulls inside a burning Benihana Of Tokyo.

The first legit reissues of these rare, stellar LP's by DC-based singer/songwriter Bob Brown. Richie Havens took Bob under his wing, produced both albums, and released them on his Stormy Forest label distributed by MGM. Although they failed to make a commercial impact at the time, outsider-folk enthusiasts and vinyl-heads place these albums in high esteem alongside the works of exploratory greats like Tim Hardin and Tim Buckley.

Bob is still will us. He recently performed with Ryley Walker's band at Tompkins Square's 10th Anniversary show at Rough Trade, and he'll also make special appearances to celebrate the reissues :

Grammar Of Movement makes his long-awaited debut via Lobster Theremin's main label. A shining light through a hazy prism that refracts a spectrum of techno from it's tinted facets. A sound that shifts between sampled swamps of spoken-word lathered over crushed synths and carpet-covered drum excursions. A raw and cathartic output born out of a period of personal noise and pain. 

Opener 'Faint' is a litmus test for the uninvited, a raw 'n' stepped non-4/4 exploration that draws on early London while curdling it's electro influences through sporadic bursts of acidic electronics and yearning pads. 

'Pitchfight' floats like a low mist over the Persian gulf. Low-lying clouds of mellow colours and tones that dissipate and reform over the sea, as the morning sun splinters the horizon and a radio transmission from another land chunters with it's early announcement. 

'What He Said' throws itself into the melé, amid a frenzy of blown-out vocal snips, rasping raw drum smacks, squelching synths and 90's cheap-keyboard hits. Smoothing out into a soft and tender ambient mid-section, one of GOM's signature indulgences, meandering and playfully hinting at a return to the madness and entropy. 

Closing out the 12" is the understated epic 'Siasi'. A slow-beating political heart, formed of clashing textures, discordant swirling electronics and abrasive, piercing percussion. A painfully drawn-out struggle for freedom.
