Mix Series Volume 16 by Florian

Hot on the heels of the A-Sides Volume 5 compilation, Enrico Sangiuliano makes his return to Drumcode with his highly anticipated EP ‘Moon Rocks’. The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

Mutex Recordings are back on wax with Fluid EP from Unbalance. This guy put out one of the most decent productions in 2011 with his white-labeled Unbalance series and definitely is one of the artists to watch for in 2012. His music is an incredible collage of everything you love in techno: thick groove, Detroit-styled chords and spooky futuristic effects. Argentina's techno hope Jonas Kopp on remix duties completes the release with his unique recognizable straight-to-the-dancefloor material that really kicks ass! This one is a record that shouldn't be missed!

Ukrainian techno heads Yan Cook and Ruslan Mays deliver their debut collab "Charismatic" - a huge dub-styled techno track on Mutex! While original explores deep basses and chords, each of the remixes follow their own line: Exploit extracts the soul from the track, adds more chords and strings; Etapp Kyle on the contrary rebuilds "Charismatic" into more straightforward tight techno affair.

But that is our goal: to combine the opposites and merge them into something unique and valuable, into the original "mutual exceptions" sound.
Mutex Recordings vinyl and digital techno label was founded in 2009 by techno producer Alexey Gordiyenko aka Exploit. 
From that time Mutex has released plenty tracks and remixes from young and established techno producers all over the world.
