Science fiction, psychosis and savagery converge: The ever-enigmatic Redshape returns to his own label Present with this propulsive and decidedly unearthly release.

BLEEP REPEAT makes for a potent first track. Here, a humping step gives way to synth lines that sting and swell across solar systems. Things get headier, grittier, reaching a furious and frightening rush with spectral soundbites to match. A homage to UK rave sounds, this track perfectly captures the uncanny pairing of aggression and rapture at the heart of 90s bleep.

PAPER BLADES follows, a celestial soundscape punctuated with hissing breakbeats and a sinewy bassline. Rippling acid lines beam along the astral plane, and a hallucinatory, near-liturgical melody meanders all the while. Spaced-out yet inexplicably driving, this track is elevating, enveloping and definitely one for transcending.

Be warned: this is not your typical peak-time standby. This release is as challenging as it is epic.

Bleep Repeat - present 14 (Preview)

One of the deepest techno musicians out there Unbalance returns to Mutex Recordings with an incredible sound collage. His "Sand EP" is going to take you on a long journey through the unknown Siberian soundscapes. Dutch veteran techno producer Jeroen Search supplied two remixes of "Dependence" with some jacking 909 rhythms and spooky synths to add more dancefloor tension to the sound of this marvelous EP.

"Mutex" stands for "Mutual Exceptions" - the basic idea behind all the releases on Mutex Recordings. Every record highlights a different shade of techno music and sometimes can be opposite to previous ones. But that is our goal: to combine the opposites and merge them into something unique and valuable, into the original "mutual exceptions" sound.
