We all know his style and sound and it definitely works with this infectious number. The original was released in early 2014 and received great success with its simple hook and booming bass line. Now with 2017 heading in full swing, this remix brings the vibe back for todays dance floor with a nostalgic twist.

Exploited boss Shir Khan’s ever-dependable Secret Gold series returns for its eleventh edition, with two very tasty tracks that will appeal to a wide range of discerning diggers.

French genius The Mekanism kicks off with ‘Beach House’, a gentle summer jam that’s a world away from some of his more pumping material. Lilting acoustic guitar licks waft over thumping kicks and snappy percussion before funk-fuelled live bass and salsa-flavoured piano solos descend. The break drafts in touches of Afro-Latin percussion and hazy vocal snippets to complete a delightful soundtrack for a stroll across the sand. Come on in, the water’s lovely!

Bas Roos continues his excellent form for the label with a collaboration alongside Guy Steve. With a similar flavour to ‘Beach House’, their delicious ‘Route 69’ pares disco funk guitars with looping organic bass and jazzy electric piano noodling. Carefully deployed filters break up the rolling groove just when needed. An early evening dancefloor groove with impeccable taste.
