Oslo native Fredfades latest album ‘Caviar’ is a testament to the unwavering commitment to originality and an unflagging energy in the pursuit of musical perfection. Released through cult Norwegian label Mutual Intentions, the veteran DJ / producer assembles an all-star cast for a collection of club sounds that have defined his output for the past decade.Fredfades’ music is all about attitude, evident in the evocative ‘Summer of Love’ featuring fellow countryman, Bendik HK. He says: “This is a song composed together with Norway's very best drummer: Bendik HK and myself.I recall forcing him to step out of his comfort zone to get stupid together and scrap all that intelligent stuff he would usually do on his own tracks. I gassed up the 909 to the max, found all the classic Korg M1 patches and we ended up creating some what of a tribute to the mid-90's 'Stock Sound House' in the UK which I'm a big fan and serious collector of. Later on I reworked it for a night where me and Jawn Rice were sharing a couple bottles of wine. We reprogrammed the TR-727 percussion and added some reversed reverb on it before we saved the file and closed it. I had a third session in the file later on where I added more effects, a drum break and some vocal samples of a French girl moaning from a Proto-House 12" from the late eighties.”

Yohai Mor @yohai makes his debut on Univack with "Chasing Dreams / Paradox Shift", a four-track release that explores the most elegant and cosmic landscapes of contemporary Progressive House. Hamburg based Bizzarro Universe are a duo who have conjured the cosmos into releases on Bordello a Parigi and Exploited Club. 'Planetary Groove' was their debut EP for Exploited Club; a nod to the 90s that is now taken in 2 fresh directions by Herr Krank and auspicious producer AUTOFLOWER.

First up is Helios label head Herr Krank who braids Trance, Acid and Italo into a dizzying revision that does a fine job of channeling 90s euphoria whilst delivering something very fresh indeed. Shuttering synths and a vibrant acid line tag in and out while a serrated bass line gives the low end a stylish bite. Drums are quick and boisterous and the energy effervescent as the track powers on like a current of energy: fast paced and coursing forth with irresistible kinetic momentum.

Nijmegen based AUTOFLOWER then steps in, keeping hold of the euphoric torch across a powerful take that marches with a purposeful intensity. Drums are potent and crunchy, churning away under an electrifying synth lead that gradually opens up before a double drop that will send the floor into giddy rapture, capping off 2 different but equally effective remixes.

Brazil has a special place in the heart of Jannowitz Records boss BOHO. Over the past few years several amazing artists approached the label and started close collaborations. One of them is Coppola. The young musician produced the Odyssey EP together with Indian super star Diatonik just a few months ago. And apparently he liked the turnout. Cause Coppola is back - and this time his sound is even darker and more progressive than last year. The name giving track of the Green Juice EP is a perfect example of what Coppola has evolved into during the last nine months: danceable tunes, subtle synth lines and strong kicks. Luckily it wasn't hard to convince two superb remixers to rearrange and work with Green Juice. 

If you are following the Jannowitz Records family and what's happening around them closely you should even know who we are talking about: Hory Doly and Markus Volker have both recently stepped into the spotlight by being under the first few names of Maksim Dark's new Dense label. On Jannowitz Records they show you what they've got. The former producer team turned the track into a bumpy and fast remix that is straight on a killer. 

A melodic yet progressive and techy track that is filled with tension and little bits and bops that you will only realise after having listened to the track for two or three times. Green Juice or Red Juice. Whatever you prefer, whatever color you want your juice to be - you can get it within this EP. Pretty juicy, right?
