EP067 – Exercise lives up to its name a full-body sonic workout wrapped in Saqib's signature style. The title track is a driving, neo-melodic disco workout primed to energise both heaving club nights and open-air festival sunrises. With layered synth work, crisp percussion, and body-moving basslines, Exercise is a track that doesn't let up designed to keep the crowd locked in and lifted up.

On the flip side, Beat & Path label founders Uone & Out Of Sorts deliver a divine reinterpretation with their AUM Shanti Remix. Initiated in person during Uone's long-awaited return to New Zealand ( his first visit in five years) The remix was sparked in the Out Of Sorts studio and completed at Uone's Ranch-O-Relaxo hideaway. The result is a swirling, tribal rework that bends space and time: expect key-shifting basslines, hypnotic grooves, and a ceremonial energy that turns dance floors into temples.

Saqib is in peak form, with recent releases on acclaimed labels like Kindisch, Monaberry, Maccabi House, SOUNDSCOOL, and his own imprint Beats On Time. With Exercise, he continues to expand his musical universe and we're all invited to sweat it out on the journey.

Christian Nielsen has never been one for musical pigeonholes, but with his new 'Pull Up' EP on Pets Recordings, the Danish producer takes that ethos to its logical extreme. Two tracks. Two distinct moods. One cohesive, club-ready package.

Made not in some plush Berlin bunker but in the most democratic of studios - his kitchen, after the kids were asleep - the limited time and space, allowed Christian to focus on what really matters - the groove, the vibe, and making every sound count.

The title track, 'Pull Up', is pure peak-time propulsion: raw, rhythmic rap vocals locked tight to a driving, big room chassis, built for the kind of dancefloor moments when the energy shifts from simmer to boil. Flip it to 'Infinity', and the mood changes to melodic,   yet propulsive textures with a more a spacious arrangement that's designed for losing yourself.

'I wanted to create something that feels both nostalgic and fresh,' Nielsen says. 'The idea was to capture that spontaneous energy you get when unexpected elements collide in the right way.'

Dutch youngster Budakid impressed with his debut release for Exploited a few months back in the form of ‘Adieu X’; a masterful slice of epic breakbeat with brooding undertones. Backed with the glorious piano chillout cut ‘A Porcelain Heart’, it made for a very impressive debut. With releases elsewhere on All Day I Dream, Last Night On Earth and Get Physical, it’s clear that he is in high demand. Now he returns with two new tracks for Exploited, and a hot remix courtesy of Tensnake.
‘No Strings Attached’ is typical of his sound, with a soaring, triumphant string melody at the centre of the track. This flowing motif glides above plucked synth bass phatness and gently rolling house beats, with a lightness of touch in the production that creates a widescreen atmosphere without sounding overblown.
Tensnake’s remix pumps up the beats to more a skipping ‘90s house vibe, the strings chopped and looped over hard-funking bass and chord question-and-answer sequences. There’s a tense, moody feel as the track gradually builds towards a big break where that lead motif is unveiled in a beautifully melancholy fashion. A classic house diva vocal refrain is all that’s needed to top it off as the beat slams back in.
‘Verso 71’ is the second original track on the release, and harks back to the vibe of ‘Adieu X’. Recalling classic breakbeat, its twinkling arpeggios and snarling bass provide a stark contrast, with more sweeping synth lines and chunky kick and snare patterns combining in a powerful unison.
