Alex Dimou makes his second appearance following his remix of Tiger Stripe’s ‘Runaways’ on Get Physical with a fantastically classic sounding EP ‘Sweet Berries’. The Greek-born producer and DJ has been making crowds move in the south scene for quite a while, now his works and influence are starting to spread north. 
The title track is a smooth house number with a disco vibe. The heavy bass line drives the track home while it pulls you into the groove. The percussion, while simple, is masterfully executed here – adding to the long list of reason why you’ll be hearing this one often.
“The Pickle” feeds on the same vibe as “Sweet Berries” minus the disco-house but packs a deep and contagious bass line just as well. Just as with the title track, it’s hard to escape the tracks pull to the dance floor with its energetic-yet-mellow vibe.
Simon Baker takes ‘Sweet Berries’ and adds an elegant touch to it before throwing down a kick and a very raw-feeling percussion. He takes the bass line in a new direction, opting for a rolling, thunderous feel rather than heavy stabs. 
Fur Coat takes thing even deeper with his remix, adding a distorted synth to accent the eerie tones he creates. A dark piece, which takes the original in a totally new direction.
Lastly, we’ve got a remix from new-comer Janvanvau, who takes the original and piles on even more energy, keeping the vibe while adding a tech-house touch.

MGMT - Kids ft. Mia Wray (Sowlmate Remix)

Get Physical's last delivery 2014 was, yet again, an EP that strays a bit off the beaten track. For this last installment, GPM290, Junge Junge has called upon Australian native Kyle Pearce to set some velvety vocals to a toned-down, bittersweet delight of a track.

The ‚Beautiful Girl‘ EP opens with its namesake creation, a thumb piano-laden tune decorated by some seriously smoky singing just waiting to transport you far away. It's followed by a handful of distinct reworkings, by the likes of Tube & Berger who plunge the track underwater and turn it into warm-up material, while Audiofly takes on a dub remix and spins the song on its head to give it a new psychedelic identity. Meanwhile, Blond:ish throws it into darker terrain only to have the ‚Beautiful Girl‘ lifted up by Junge Junge once again thanks to a slightly different version that turns it into danceable AM epic by way of some wisely-placed kicks and claps. The EP ends on this sweetest of high notes, putting a neat, shiny bow on this.

With over 7 million plays and counting on YouTube Compuphonic's 2011 collaboration with Marques Toliver, 'Sunset' raised the bar pretty high. Since then Maxime has gone on to produce remixes for the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Gotye even and fellow Belgians The Subs (winning a Red Bull award in the process) and release two acclaimed EPs on Berlin label Exploited.

Now finally Maxime and Marques have reunited for a new EP on Exploited, 'Magical Shoes', and the results are everything we could have hoped for.

Having delivered two huge club hits in 2014 with ’Radio Atlantis’ and ’O Cypres’, Belgian star Compuphonic returns this February with his third EP for Exploited, ‘Magical Shoes’. 2 tracks of sublime House music, the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP sees Compuphonic finally reunited with the Beyoncé approved American singer Marques Toliver, whose vocals previously graced Maxime’s 2012 breakout hit ’Sunset’.

Once again this Transatlantic pairing have struck gold as Compuphonic’s distinctive brand of deeply emotional, nuanced, House Music provides the perfect setting for Marques’ plaintive vocals. With it’s distinctive Korg M1 organ and shuffling beats ‘Magical Shoes’ instantly brings to mind legendary ‘90s New York clubs like The Sound Factory but thanks to Compuphonic’s production skills it goes well beyond that of simple period pastiche and sounds utterly fresh for 2015, a bonafide club hit that is already peppering the sets of DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Tensnake and The Magician.

As the title suggests the EP’s 2nd track ‘The Sun Does Rise’ is the natural successor to the duo’s previous outing. As deep as the Pacific Ocean this is a trance inducing hymn to hope, music designed to elevate the soul as much as move the body and bring some much needed warmth back to clubland.
