After his well-received “Ingrediente Secreto” EP on Me Gusta Records, Brazilian producer Seed Selector scores another hot release, this time on Sabiá, a rising – and shining – electronic music label based in the beautiful city of Natal, in the northeast of Brazil. In “Papel”, Seed, in partnership with young producer Art Popper, widely explores his House Music influences and brings to life two insightful versions of the title track: the introspective Into Mix and the bouncing Original Mix. On the remix duties, Petty Touches and Felipe Reis brought the game to their own realms and came up with two spot-on interpretations.

Premiered here, the original is a sharp dance-floor filler. If not a peak-time banger – not every track needs to be one –, “Papel” is definitely a must-have for the fans of high-quality Deep House out there. Its crushable bassline, atmospheric synth lead, and punctual vocal hook deliver an upbeat and mesmerising cut with a smooth acid gait.

In sum: The result of the first collaboration between the Paulista artists has undoubtedly left a “gostinho de quero mais” in the air. Kudos!

Madrid duo Depaart return to Exploited Club with a trio of slick, acidic cuts with a real air of sophistication about them.
‘And You’ juxtaposes phat bottom end with twinkling acid resonance, dreamy pads and a bold ‘80s synth motif that shimmers with crystalline edges. Dashes of counter melody ring out through lush poly synths as the arrangement ebbs and flows effortlessly. Trippy touches and a dreamlike edge to this brilliantly contrasting piece of work.
‘Buzzline’ rocks an ‘80s electro breakbeat, with a fittingly sparse arrangement that has its roots in Kraftwerkian bleepage. Sonorous bass reaches the parts other low ends can’t as a wiggling 303 melody bubbles up. An 8-bit hook is pushed into the distance with a tight reverb, providing a nice contrast to the drier percussion. The different elements all interweave in perfect lockstep, evolving harmoniously in unison to create a highly atmospheric workout.
Plump analog bass pulses underpin ‘Ufo Trip’, giving warehouse vibes as trippy ringshifting and delaying sends shards of frequencies shimmering around your head. Flecks of guitar cut against the electronic tones gently, and percussion and pads are sparingly used to build a subtle tension.

Welcome to the 12th edition of our ongoing Breaking New Soil series, featuring both new and established talent once again. First up is our good friend Harvey McKay, who graced the label last year with his seminal „Forest“ EP - his new track „Borderline“ is another trademark Harvey production, guaranteed to set dancefloors on fire! Next up we have Phyrgian from Colombia. Gregor played his track „Tarot" in almost every set last year, so we are very happy to have him on board with „Mansalva“, another über-hypnotic Techno excursion - imagine to hear this at a dark, packed warehouse rave - pure fire! Next up are Mario Hammer and The Lonely Robot - known for their eclectic releases on Traum and Cocoon. They handed in „13 degrees“, remixed by Harald Björk. It´s one of those tracks that - when dropped at the right moment, will take dancers on a journey and leave them with a smile on their faces. Last but not least we are very happy to have some original music by Lad, who is know in the business as one of the finest mastering engineers. Hailing from Geneva, he surprised us with this phenomenal Techno track, that takes no prisoners but will start a riot on the dancefloors for sure. This is Breaking New Soil!

Steve Sibra is no newcomer to the French electronic music scene. Active since 1999, he has already released several albums and around forty EPs. 
Originally from Paris but now based in Montpellier in the south of France, Steve is a radio man. For many years, he hosted Laboratoire Sonore on Montpellier 91 FM, where he welcomed the cream of international artists to his show. 

Steve joined the Brique Rouge team in 2022 and, in just a few releases, has risen to become one of the core artists shaping the label's sound. He brings his inimitable touch of melancholic deep techno and melodic, cinematic soft house, sometimes infusing it with a strong electro influence and a few experimental touches. The quality of his productions having won over everyone who listened to them, it was only natural to (finally) offer an album that allows listeners to enter Steve's dancefloor universe.  

And what an album! With 21 tracks, it's more than an adventure, it's a huge sonic trip that draws you in from the very first track and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, vibrations, and sensations that doesn't let go until the very last track. It's a coherent universe, where every note is weighed for a minimalist approach to a melodious groove. 

Sometimes leaning towards “sunset music,” sometimes towards a slightly darker melancholy, Telepath Voodoo leaves no one indifferent, and each listen brings its own set of details and surprises.  So listen to it loud, listen to it on headphones, listen to it while dancing or meditating, but let yourself be carried away on this long journey that Steve Sibra offers you.  Undoubtedly one of the most important French House and Electronic artists of the moment.

Created in 1999 by David Duriez, the independent French label Brique Rouge continues to promote the electronic sound that David has always believed in and defended. Far from the formatting and excessive vulgarity of the current electronic scene, the label promotes an eclectic electronic sound that remains rooted in the underground and, above all, in a clubbing vibe.  In general, the artists on the team are given carte blanche, and it is above all the spirit that counts. The label does not seek success; it is a success. The success of being able to release music without compromise. With one release per week on platforms since 2020, the label (and its divisions RZ Muzik & Obliqu3) is seen as a key player in the French underground electronic scene due to its activism.
