The sulky and sultry collaboration between Diar Storm, Lost Boy 1984 and Play Paul gets 2 re-workings courtesy of Malaysian producer Cyda and the venerated Parisian Captain Mustache. 

Cyda opens things up, following releases on Love International and Kendal’s Ritmo Fatale with an anthemic take on 'Everything So'. The teenage spirit of the original remains but is given a set of wings by bold, colourful melodies, 80s toms and an elongated breakdown that cracks open with an infectious zeal. 

Captain Mustache then adds to a highly decorated release catalogue - one that's included an EP for Helena Hauff, LPs for Kompakt and remixes for DMX Krew and Legowelt - with his take on Everything So. 

The groove is stripped right back to it's bones as skeletal 808 drums provide a crisp and clean bed for Storm's vocals to bleed out with all their raw honesty. Immaculate tones flicker while the energy gently cruises like a night drive adding further facets to a charming addition to the Exploited catalogue.

After releasing on the AFFKT's imprint "SINCOPAT" and collaborating with Mundo D (releasing some stuffs and remixing the only one Darlyn Vlys), Victor delivers here two complementary pieces.

"Maybe it's Love" tells us a beautiful indie story. The hyper positive melody is carried by a perfectly balanced rhythm, interspersed by FX straight out of the 80's. Love is in the air ?

The break & dance hit "I don't know", hyper grooving and festive, is enhanced by the voice of the vocalist Neburo, making the track more intimate and giving it a New Wave touch.

Who better than Captain Mustache himself to sublimate "Maybe It's Love" …? The french producer, propelled in 2022 by a fantastic series of good releases on Bedrock or Kompakt to name a few, literally transforms the original in an electronic body banger !

Following on from Melodic Motion, Martin Matiske returns to Bordello A Parigi with a track that first appeared over a decade ago. Released on his first album on Stilleben, “Dimension Phantasy” has been dusted down and given a new lease of life. This extended version bubbles with the same energy as the original. Steady kicks give way to scaling chords as a racing piece of future gazing brilliance takes hold. Melodies are addictive, yet cold, with a common ground between disco and electro being forged. Sharing the 12” real estate are two good friends, each offering their own remix. Captain Mustache is a musician who can turn his hand to any style. Here the French producer remains true to the Matiske’s version, adding layers of warmth while maintaining the Springtime coolness of beats and harmonies. The flip is given over to Play Paul, a trailblazing figure in electronics. BPMs are reduced as sweetened lines take flight in the “Oh Lord! Remix”. Arpeggiators rumble before bold keys and heartfelt vocals enter in this emotive reinterpretation. The finale strips back lyrics to focus on those succulent synthesizer sounds. South African singer, born 23. August 1942 and raised in Soweto. 

Already as a teenager she toured as part of the King Kong musical ensemble but left for the USA in the sixties due to the political environment back home, teaming up with Harry Belafonte and Cannonball Adderley. Her voice can also be heard on the soundtrack of the successful TV series "Roots". 

Married to Caiphus Semenya, she returned to South Africa after 26 years of self-imposed exile.
