Exploited Club welcome in power duo EMJIE and Emma B who bounce out 3 classy club cuts packed with groove, energy and panache.

Hailing from Brussels, EMJIE is catching heavy acclaim off the back of records for Get Physical and True Romance, as well as a recent B2B with Diplo, a radioshow for Keinemusik and bill-sharing with the likes of Dixon, LP Giobbi and Roman Fluegel. Her sound is characterised by stripped, Indie sonics, classic House and sleek, infectious vocals.

Working alongside her is Emma B - a Paris based producer and DJ also firmly on the ascent with releases on Shall Not Fade, BBC’s Sarah Story’s Stories and gigs at Rex Paris, Fabric London, Shelter Amsterdam, and After Caposile.
Highly skilled in the studio, her sound is steeped in dance floor literacy - informed by late 90s and early 2000s Minimal, Trance and Hard House.

'Ace Of Spades' kicks things off with a tight braid of organs and synths that duck and weave over immaculately crafted drums and a buoyant, proggy bass line that locks in a bubbly momentum from the get go. Vocals ring out, snare fills roll and harmonies fuse to form a fizzy, ecstatic vibe that nails a peak-flow tenor.

'My Favourite' follows up with neat, infectious drums that ooze snap and sass while a catchy synth and bass line climb together in lockstep. More vocals are woven in while harmonies thicken and a loose, free-flowing mood unfurls. Energy smoulders subtly shifting up the gears with a nice, mid-set intensity: chic, locked in and effortlessly sexy.

'The Bass You Need' finishes things off with an intricate, bongo-heavy drumtrack that's propelled by more swirling synths and spacious sound design. Deliciously trippy - the groove is heady and slinky recalling labels like Pagan and Swag from UK Tech House hay-day. Drums remain light on their feet - nimble and active whilst packing a satisfying wallop that'll make it an easy draw for DJs.'

Fast rising groove dealer EMJIE hasn’t gone unnoticed with her blissful approach to today’s electronic soundscape, seamlessly blending classic house music with modern indie dance. Hailing from Charleroi, based in Brussels, her sound is spreading internationally while she plays venues such as Fuse, Sisyphos, Zamna, Bar Americas, Pukkelpop, Tomorrowland… Last year, she earned Belgium’s recognition with her weekly residency on globally renowned radio Studio Brussel for the 23 season. 

Her breakthrough B2B with Diplo, at CORE Tulum last January, allowed her to gain special attention and sign on the renowned label Renaissance, for her sixth opus. “The Bounce EP”, coming up September 20th, features a special remix from talented Rafael Cerato. 

Production-wise, she crafts dynamic tunes featuring catchy leads, rhythmic vocals, powerful basslines and energetic percussions, infused by her rock and retro universe. With latest releases on Tensnake’s imprint: True Romance, and Mexican infamous label Phisica, she’s received strong support from Chloé Caillet, Joyce Muniz, Damian Lazarus, Adam Ten, Pedro Winter, Sasha, Deer Jade, Mano Le Tough, Musumeci to name a few. 

Since 2019, EMJIE has played massive stages and shared the booth back to back with legends such as Diplo and Maxim Lany. She also joined impressive billings with noted artists like Paul Kalkbrenner, Dixon, Adriatique, Roman Flügel, Stephan Bodzin, Agents of Time, Ben Böhmer, Lee Burridge, Lilly Palmer, and many others. Her sensitive energy allows her to bond with the crowd and always select the right tracks to curate a journey in every set she plays.
