Enduro Disco sprinkles more magic onto Exploited, after his last release for the label, ‘CIAO’, smashed its way into the Top 5 Indie Dance Chart on Beatport via its Biesmans Remix Version.
Enduro Disco keeps the heat flowing on Exploited with his latest cut ‘Deep In My Heart’, with a top remix from the prolific Holger Ziske (Playhouse) to boot.
‘Deep In My Heart’ exemplifies his spacious, atmospheric and groovy sound with a deceptively simplicity of ideas that makes more than the sum of its parts. Pleasingly thick claps punctuate a shaker-driven beat as slivers of colourful synth create a flowing conversation of sound. Swirling pads and blurry vocals build a dreamy feel as the plodding bassline ascends and descends the scale with a funky intent. The track is in no hurry to go anywhere, instead cruising along at its own deep, rolling pace. A stripped-back mid-section gives more room to breathe, and little else is needed to make this breezy jam an addictive treat.
Holger Zilske is somewhat of a legend on the Berlin scene thanks to his numerous works and an album he released on the classic house label Playhouse in 2009. His slightly more urgent remix retains the deep vibe of the original but laces it with a dubby feel and more of a taut inflexion in its percussive groove. Doing away with the niceties, it has a real stomp to its groove and makes for a highly effective alternative route.

Beatservice Records are thrilled to present the latest mesmerising single from leftfield maestro Third Attempt, who digs deep into his sonic repertoire to serve the full-bodied rolling groove of 'Nu Funk'.

Oslo's Torje Fagertun Spilde – better known as Third Attempt – is quickly making a name for himself as one of the most reliably exciting producers to emerge from Norway's rich meta-disco lineage. His last single, 'Age Of Steam', arrived bursting with bass-heavy funk flex, and we're thrilled to report that his newest effort is no less kinetically charged. As the name suggests, 'Nu Funk' is a contemporary exploration of deeply-rooted funk sensibilities. Combining warm bass with tightly constructed beats, Third Attempt dexterously merges far-reaching musical aesthetics that include trip hop, funk, soul and disco to deliver a sound that – although endowed with vintage sensibilities – feels proudly up to date.

The track begins with snappy hip hop vocal samples scratched over tight beats and a delectable bass guitar hook. The groove pauses for dubbed-out space delays to echo into the night before a singing lead guitar joins the rhythm elements to burst back into life. Forging a heads-down furrow from which there's no escape, the seductive beats maintain the course as vocal chops, flute motifs, elegant strings, and otherworldly sweeps elegantly meander across the panorama.

Just as we've come to expect from Third Attempt, this is warm, organic and utterly alluring work. Taken from a forthcoming album that's set to land in the coming months, we are beyond excited to hear what the young talent will come up with next.

After a fantastic build up featuring two standout singles, exciting Brazilian duo Nu Azeite finally unveil their much anticipated self titled full length on Cocada Music in January 2021.

Thanks to the well received singles, the world has now got a real taste for the Nu Azeite sound - a cultured collision of MPB and house, funk and 80s disco with oodles of tropical percussion and jazzy riffs. It comes from two creative minds from Rio de Janeiro: Fabio Santanna and Bernardo Campos. Fabio is a prolific producer and musician who has worked with iconic MPB stars like Marcos Valle and João Bosco, while Bernardo is one of the best house and disco DJs in the city, and resident of the famous RARA party and Pato com Laranja bar. They have been submerged in music for years - playing it, making it, collecting it and organising parties, all of which now colours this superb debut album filled with Brazilian references, nods to disco rarities and a love of contemporary electronic sounds.

This full length brings a happy mix of organic and electronic music. A balanced blend between the sweetness of the sugar and the sourness of the lemon, which together with a beautiful cachaça, make up the perfect caipirinha. The album features Fabio’s vocals on all tracks except for ‘Chicago,’ which has Bernardo singing in English, and lead single ‘Me Deixa Louca’ featuring Bia Barros.

It is the low slung disco brilliance of previously released single ‘Vem Com Noix’ that invites you into Nu Azeite’s colourful, funky and cosmic world then second single ‘Me Deixa Louca’ has a more crisp and upbeat groove, but is embellished with plenty of withering chords and piebald pads that soar to the heavens. The deeply infectious ‘Chicago’ is like Brazilian deep house complete with jazzy chords and soulful vocal sounds, glowing keys and a slinky groove.

The brilliant ‘Arpoador’ is filled with warm late night grooves and brightly glowing synths that mix timeless Brazilian style with futuristic production flourishes to stunning effect. ‘Bahia’ slows things down to a more playful tempo, with languid bass and long legged drums transporting you to sunset at the coastal bay after which the tune is named. The heartfelt ‘Flores’ then has breezy vocals from Fabio over a tight and funky rhythm section that is run through with more steamy chords and shimmering hooks. ‘Palmeira’ is a gorgeously airy closer that has you laying back and gazing into a bright blue sky where wispy riffs and twinkling keys float by over a mellow groove.

This is a musically accomplished and timeless album that cannot fail to bring real joy and happiness to all who hear it, whether at home, on the beach or in a party setting.
