But this, a live recording from The Cityfox Experience: Enclave on April 5, 2014 in Brooklyn, demonstrates exactly why they've ascended so quickly to becoming favorites the world over to those fortunate enough to hear them live. After running Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity imprint, touring on the international DJ circuit and building an impressive portfolio of remixing credits and collaborative releases over many years, André Hommen is now spreading his wings as a fully-fledged ar- tist.

'Introspectral', his third solo release, show- cases a producer who has fine-tuned his talents over a long period of time and - as the portmanteau title suggests - both reflected intensely and explored a broad spectrum of sounds.

The aquatic bass pulses of the title track, topped with cycling loops, surging drones and melancholy chords, paves the way for a dancing riff that will surely have hands re- aching for the air. With its textbook builds and sweeping dynamics, it's an impeccably rendered and dazzlingly hypnotic groove.

On the more introspective, bass-heavy Dub, Hommen weaves a web of gritty arpeggios and chiming synths whose intricacy is un- veiled in a long, beatless breakdown.

Last up, the writhing sub bass and Mor- se code pings of 'Centrifuge' cast an air of Hitchcockian menace: prelude to a cre- scendo of bright synths and blinding light as the machine revs up to maximum velocity.

The basis of any great partnership is how one complements the other, which in the case of the Adrians, was evident from the outset.

While one had honed his musical chops with House for the US and Detroit Techno, the other dwelled in deep melodies and European techno. In the world of dance music, where producers might spend a few nights DJ’ing and some DJ's may dabble in producing, their partnership has mastered both while bridging the perspectives of two varied backgrounds bound by the ultimate desire to forge a unique sonic signature and connect with the audience that shares in their deeply held belief that music is meditation. Frankey and Sandrino, have been active with electronic music for well over a decade now. While Franky is a schooled musician who had already released a string of LP's and EP's, Sandrino started his career in 2003 with a residency at Germany's Butan Club. The duo of Frankey and Sandrino soon discovered their shared interest in deep and melodic music and started producing together. It didn't take too long until Four:Twenty Records and Moodmusic picked up their first releases.
