GHEIST return to Exploited after outings on Sasha’s acclaimed Last Night On Earth label and Mobilee Records with more melodic electronic mysticism. The quartet is well known for their dramatic compositions having made Exploited their home since first emerging in 2016.

'Closest Ever' begins with shuffling percussion as a looping synth refrain filters up and shimmies through rapid-fire panning effects. The dreamy indie-dance styled vocal cuts against this incessant melody beautifully, providing the evolving counterpart to its steadfastness. The hovering bass follows the vocal — or vice versa — until we reach a heady breakdown where the synths warp, warble and detune brilliantly to create a dizzying crescenedo. Instead of an explosive climax, everything gets sucked back down when the beat drops, leaving you forever wanting more from this powerful yet restrained beauty. 

'Avalonia' flits between deep hypnotic sections and teasing moments of intensity. Building slowly through unsettling synth and bass arpeggios and deft percussive touches, it truly comes alive once its chord progression unfolds. The undulating bass leads the way as soaring tones bring a triumphant feel, the mood of the track constantly shifting this way and that. It’s a subtle, brooding track that makes for an excellent stepping stone in a set, perfect for when you want to draw focus to a more introspective place.

Exploited Club warmly welcome in Pleasure Voyage who step up to the plate and do as they do best: casting out a wide musical net, gathering in influences from Breaks, House, Disco, Balearic and Funk whilst pulling in a hefty dose of fun, flair and ecstasy to boot.

'Cuánto Cuesta' is a simmering pot of pure joy. A bubbling bass line has the track on a low boil throughout while luscious, buoyant synths intimately jostle alongside bold but allaying piano chords. Classic breaks snap in the back while a gently acidic lead flexes in and out of focus and the resultant groove sends out a clear and cosy invitation to get loose.

A regular on Johannes Albert's Frank Music's label and Tensnake's True Romance, Claus Casper chips in with his 'No Tengo Dinero' remix - a fortified revision that packs an extra punch with a layered snare, cow bells and an open hat that seasons the groove with a little bite and snap.

Rolling snare fills punctuate the track as Claus creates ramps for sections that showcase his indisputable chops on the keys. The passion and heat of the orignal remains intact as progress tumbles towards a long, spine-tingling breakdown that pops wide open in a manner that will send the floor absolutely nuts.

Almost a year after the release of the EP Transmissions, acclaimed upon its release by France Inter, RTBF, Tsugi Radio, Pedro Winter, among others, the DJ and producer duo Housecall is back with a special remix reissue, made for the dance floor.

Four artist friends each reinterpreted one of the tracks from the original record. This includes a progressive house remix by NairLess, a UK bass remix by Versant, a dark disco remix by Sapphist Eye, and a groovy house remix by Charleeps. To close this musical chapter on a high note, Housecall delivers an original track, a flamboyant disco rework of the outro Répertoire.

Transmissions Remixes will be released on Wednesday, September 24, followed by a release party at Superflu (Paris 18th arrondissement) on Saturday, September 27, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Between raw energy and attention to detail, Blanc Soleil lays the foundations for a hybrid and expressive signature, somewhere between rave intensity and club emotion.The project is also revisited through three distinct remixes, each bringing a different state of mind: a UKG-infused version by the Australian producer Wax Thief, a high-energy closing banger signed by Noge, and a more electro-driven interpretation from J.Strongrock.

Following the series of singles leading up to his new album scheduled for December, Leo Janeiro, founder of Cocada Music and a key figure in Brazilian House Music, presents another chapter of his artistic journey with the release of Carioca Flute / Som na Caixa.

Collaboration sets the tone for this release. Nathan Flutebox, the British pioneer who created the fluteboxing technique by fusing flute and beatbox in performances that have shared stages with the likes of The Prodigy, The Roots, and Guru, brings his unmistakable mark to “Carioca Flute” . Meanwhile, Zopelar, musician, DJ, and one of the most inventive producers in Brazil’s electronic scene, adds his signature to Som na Caixa, drawing from a discography released on global imprints such as Apron Records, Tartelet, and Soul Clap, reinforcing his role as a creative reference both in Brazil and abroad.

In “Carioca Flute” , Nathan Flutebox’s presence adds new layers of texture, with the flute taking center stage through a distinctive timbre that feels both engaging and dance-driven. The track fuses freshness, Brazilian identity, and house nuances, expanding horizons and projecting new possibilities for the dancefloor.

“Som na Caixa” , on the other hand, places breakbeat at the heart of its arrangement, evoking the raw and vibrant energy of Rio’s baile funk. Its rhythmic elements carry a nostalgic freshness, recalling memories while sounding current and pulsating. The melodies embody the seamless interplay between Leo Janeiro’s and Zopelar’s artistic signatures, resulting in a track that reflects both their creative dialogue and the singular identity each brings to the collaboration.

Modern Friend are a Montreal, Canada-based duo consisting of Voytek Korab (formerly of My Favorite Robot) and Kosta Megalos (formerly of Flowers and Sea Creatures). The new project dives back into each of their early influences of post-punk and synthwave sounds which were musical movements that heavily influenced their formative years.

Having been greatly involved in the underground electronic music scene for many years, this is their first foray into the type of music that they always wanted to write. “Someone’s Gotta Save Us” is a post-punk electronica number, all-encompassing of the times we are in.

Andy Toth, co-founder and former member of the Detroit Grand Pubahs remixes the track and flips it into an electro stomper. Korab’s smooth vocals get turned into a robotic twitchy funk, the guitars become replaced with acid-tinged synths, and an overall thump is added to the drums to make it ready for the clubs. Pure, aural filth with this remix in the absolute best of ways.

The Andy Toth remix of Modern Friend’s “Someone’s Gotta Save Us” is released October 31st, 2025 on Permaculture.
