Amsem is proud to present DAHLIA, the new EP of Joe Lewandowski. 
With this new EP, Joe explores different territories from Indie Dance to EBM with always the same sound signature rock driven rhythms mixed with psychedelic textures. By creating his own universe, influenced by transe, hindi dance and satured guitars, this EP sounds like a trip though dreams and delusion. Despite its diversity, it keeps though each track its tension and energy with 4 tracks directly made for dance floors.

‘Techno three ways’ is the order of the day from Irish newcomer Richie Corrigan and his accomplice Jacob B, twisting the genre in a trio of directions like a Michelin starred menu might reinterpret a humble ingredient. As a DJ, Corrigan has supported Dave Clarke, running his Purgatory events alongside the label of the same name and releasing elsewhere on Concrete Berlin, Underground Records and Complexed Records.

‘Paradise’ thumps along at a clip, classic stabs manically cutting against off-beat bass whomps and tuned percussion melodies, hi-hats stuttering all the while. Snatches of East Asian melody waft in and out of focus and the melodic progression of the bassline adds a gently euphoric edge to this propulsive track.

‘Get Up’ heads into tribal techno territory, all juddering low end and menacingly toned percussive hits. Pulsing FX and evolving rhythmic structures keep the intrigue levels high as this juggernaut of a track presses on, full steam ahead.

‘Lagoon’ rounds off this well-balanced EP with a more housey take on techno, where filtered disco loops circulate under percolating percussive rhythms. Snatches of bright strings and powerful vocal refrains punctuate while the funk-fuelled bass slams hard. A piano twinkles somewhere in the distance as the layers of the track ebb and flow into each other in mesmerising fashion.

Following releases on Permanent Vacation, NeedWant, and HE.SHE.THEY, Ukraine-born, Chicago-raised and Berlin-based DJ/producer Alinka returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with ‘Numbers EP’, bringing three tracks of inspired and colourful house tracks for her second release on the imprint.

Leading the release, the title track ‘Numbers’ brings robotic vocals, bright leads, and bouncing basslines together for a sharp and energetic opener. ‘Better Days’ follows with chunky drum machines and dubbed-out chords before ‘80’s Baby’ closes the EP in fine style with soaring leads atop pumping kicks.

“This is a very nostalgic release for me. Every track is different from the next, but all were influenced by the different styles of music I grew up playing and listening to as a DJ, from Italo to early tech house and deep house.” - Alinka.

The next issue in the on-going Mastermix series features a centerpiece of Frankfurt’s club history: Wild Pitch Club.

A predecessor to the esteemed Robert Johnson and a stepping stone for Panorama Bar’s very own nd_baumecker.

Founded by Playhouse masterminds Ata and the late Heiko M/S/O it was a Thursday club night that heavily featured house music as a prescription to the ongoing techno fever. Enamored with the US-American roots of it and all things deep, it not only presented the right records, but also their creators and protagonists. With a string of guest DJs from Robert Hood and Claude Young to Kerri Chandler and Theo Parrish as well as talent from the UK and Europe, it was one of the culture’s hubs at the time.

Here you have its testimony. Selected and mixed by Ata and nd_baumecker, it’s an authentic snapshot of the club’s vibe and spirit, spread over two 2x12” volumes, a collectable tape (download included) and a pleasant streaming version, it’s the full dosage. Like Roach Motel confessed: Wild Pitch, I love you.

P-Ben drops a three-track deep techno EP via Loose Records, which has tribal drums, dubby synths, and dance floor energy.

Hailing from the south of France, P-Ben is a techno stalwart whose been releasing underground music since the '90s. This is his second time featuring on Loose, and his immersive style can also be found on other record labels such as Florian Meind's FLASH, A.Paul's Naked Lunch, and Planet Rhythm.

Throughout his decades long career, P-Ben has also proven himself to be a skilled DJ, earning bookings across Europe and beyond. He influences include the likes of Kevin Saunderson and Jeff Mills who share his same timeless sound.

The EP's title track, "Body Drum" opens the release with flowing congas and snare rolls forming a framework for sweeping pads and jackin' vocal bursts.
