We are excited to present the Taubira Remixes.
Two years ago we shared Dombrance's Taubira to celebrate the artist's debut show on American soil. That show was at the first of our legendary Bowery Ballroom parties in New York City.

We loved this track so much we persuaded the mighty Dombrance to let us compile a remix EP to give the track a new lease of life.

We have assembled a crack team of remixers - all of them frequent collaborators - dear to our hearts!

PRINS THOMAS / ICHISAN / JAMES ROD / JOSH LUDLOW

The package opens with the hypnotic, arpeggiated excellence of the original before handing the reins to the assembled remix team. The mixes are bookended by two adaptations from new kid on the block Josh Ludlow who opens things with a powerful club edit with a deep, heady feel and closes out with a pumping 80’s Italo rework. Between these two variations, we have the ‘Clan Disko Dub’ from respected Slovenian producer Ichisan who teams up with the Gouranga Clan to go down a percussive & acidic route. Alongside this, Spain’s James Rod turns in an extended and intense revision that takes things into tripped-out, late-night territory.
At the center of all this is the jewel in an already gleaming crown as Norwegian Cosmic God Prins Thomas takes the track down a psychedelic bass trip - stretched out over a blissful eleven minutes to create something truly timeless.

One of the brand-new tracks taken from James Curd mostly-retrospective debut album ‘Taking All This Time’, ‘1000 Years’ arrives to transport you into a warm summer haze and give another taste of this stunning record.
‘1000 Years’ is another exemplary Curd-cut, a melodic deep house beauty laced with a dulcet vocal from newcomer Natasha Lillith. Led by soulful, pulsing electric piano chords and a warm bassline, the groove has a little Brazilian feel to it, only heightened by summery guitar licks applied in just the right moments. Lillith's soft vocal tones are the perfect accompaniment for this balmy groove, transporting you instantly to a warm beach with sand between your toes.
French producer Kendal (Dischi Autunno/Ritmo Fatale) goes for a future garage vibe on his remix, where brooding synths soar atop peppy, pacey 2-step beats. Phunkadelica (Multinotes | Correspondant | Permanent Vacation | Innervisions | Engrave LTD), by contrast, opt for an Italo disco direction with an epic piano breakdown.

Label boss Madloch returns to 3rd Avenue with a new single entitled ‘Flow State’. With the majority of the Belgian artist’s output being reserved for parent label Sound Avenue, it’s a rare occurrence for Madloch to land on it’s more progressive minded counterpart. May of 2019 did however yield the two track ‘Grindstone’ EP, which found the Belgian artist focusing on the groovier, more esoteric side of the genre. Now making an unexpected return Madloch presents a new single alongside remixes from Subandrio and Beije.
