Hailing from Liege in Belgium, David Body has been put on our radar with releases on the fine Endless Music — but this EP for Exploited’s Black Jukebox series looks set to propel him to a new level. 

‘I Bird You’ is a seriously charming affair, led by a colourful, sugary-sweet refrain that twinkles and sparkles in cute fashion. A warm deep house groove crafted through swirling Rhodes chords builds the vibe before the flowery melody explodes into life, pushing the track into an altogether more magical direction.

‘Jack Me Baby’ channels rubbery bass and a galloping house beat, with minor piano chords creating a dramatic feel as a classic vocal sample whoops away in delight. The enormous snare-rolled propelled build-up thrusts the track into overdrive, with a delightful, balmy synth line woven in to provide a mystical counterbalance. 

‘The Talking Mouettes’ is a supremely feel-good slab of Balearic-tinged house, with choice piano chords cut up and cascading over a high-energy groove. Big squelchy melodic bass wiggles under the chords and shoulder-popping chime riff, with plenty of power and punch scattered throughout to keep the vibes rolling.

‘Endless Love’ is an absolute monster to close the EP, a soaring, triumphant electro beauty that overflows with euphoric melody and ecstatic, eyes-closed-and-rolling tingles. It just keeps building and building through layer upon layer of synth mastery to an explosive, epic climax.

'I'm very happy and excited to share this very first PALP EP.

Releasing a record should always be something special : spreading your own music and releasing it to the world is something extraordinary.

Even though i cherished every track i've been releasing so far, carefully mixing, composing, producing every bits of each tune, after hundreds of records you don't feel you're doing something special anymore.This one is different, because this is my first EP on my own label."All Night" is a special track to me, somewhere between house music and disco, and i think it's got this thing that makes it an instant floor filler, a summer or winter anthem.

On remix duty, Scruscru is putting his magic touch, bringing a modern broken-beat feeling to the track.

"Brotherhood" is very influenced by theo parrish and moodymann's work, starting with strings and evolving to a neverending disco build up, with vocal snippets that will sound familiar to any soul music lover.

I hope you like it as much as i do, there's a lot of love, work and passion in this first label release.

All Night Brotherhood

'Taking a break from his recent string of hit vocal collaborations Athenian producer/DJ George Bakalakos, AKA NTEIBINT returns with 'True', a new instrumental track that expertly marries a taut, sinuous bass line and 90s house stabs with delicate percussive loops, a rattling drum break and airy vocal samples to sublime effect. 

“I wanted to create a follow up to last year’s Colours and had this idea to try and write, something almost delicate, a kind of ballad that you could easily fit into a set alongside big room tunes on a bass heavy soundsystem,” explains George. “So I was vibing away, combining different sounds and styles from the dance music spectrum and came up with True, a mix and match of breaks and big bass sounds but with these soft and emotional vocal hooks that places it somewhere between R&B and House music territory.” 

The result is a surprisingly subtle leftfield gem, whilst the bass line dominates the track and is sure to sound incredible booming through a club sound system, it’s the additional elements George weaves throughout the track that elevates it to something truly special.'

Feeling extremely excited and proud for giving continuity to KEENE and Kaleta's release'Ayessi', this time in collaboration with the internationally renowned music producer and composer Henrik Schwarz. It also includes an outstanding remix from one of our favourite artists 'Philou Louzolo', responsible for bridging the gap between afro diaspora sounds and House and Techno.

Henrik Schwarz came up with two versions in wonderfully colourful fashion, sunny vibes and a triumphant feel that completely envelops this production, with shimmering disco hi-hats bringing the rhythm urgency and subtle strings and blips filtering away in the bedrock of the composition. A buzzing synth bores a tunnel through the centre of the groove while perfectly blending with Kaleta's vocals. 

Philou Louzolo showed his prolific production skills in all its glory with each element carefully positioned to keep things energetic, laying the foundation of a dancefloor bomb. It features an array of warm arpeggios that adds bright colours to the mix, with driving afro percussion pushing the track along with a gentle sort of power. Kaleta's vocals and blasts from sprightful trumpets were efficiently used bringing tension to the mix.

Get Physical's Roland Leesker returns to the label with a storytelling new single that comes with a remix from Confidential Recipe. 

This is Leesker's second outing on the label this year after February's timeless 'Haus Musik' package. That was the latest in a small but carefully curated series of releases from the artist who has seen recent remixes from Scan7, Terrence Parker and Francesco Tristano and never fails to infuse classic sounds with new school ideas. 

This new single is informed by a Japanese legend of the Heian Period in the late 10th century. Ibaraki-doji, a notorious Oni, resided at Rashomon Gate in Kyoto and harassed people who tried to pass through the gate until a heroic samurai named Watanabe no Tsuna subdued the creature. The battle raged on until Tsuna drew his katana and severed the arm of the demon. A few days later, an elderly woman claiming to be Tsuna's aunt came to visit him and asked her nephew to recount how he fought with the oni. Tsuna mentioned that he had Ibaraki-doji's severed arm in his possession and his aunt was curious to see it. When he revealed the arm, his aunt unveiled herself as Ibaraki-doji in disguise. She grabbed the arm and escaped from Tsuna's mansion. However, even after retrieving the arm, Ibaraki-doji never returned to dwell at Rashomon Gate again. 

The 'The Demon at Rashomon' single musically depicts this tale and comes with epic artwork that brings the story visually to life courtesy of Rio based artist Paula Lles. The record has a body-popping, electro-infused and breakbeat-driven groove that will fire up any dance floor. The bass is big and powerful and the turbulent synths, acid squelches and yelping vocals all bring a battle-ready vibe. It makes for a unique and high-impact tune from Leesker who once again co-produced this with Neil Barber at Hot Kitchen Studios in Berlin. 

Venezuela's pioneering rave ambassador Confidential Recipe remixes and brings with him a fresh mix of tech, electro and house. He has landed on labels like Rekids and RSPX and shows why here. His take is a warm, big and bouncy acid cut with silky drums and vocal yelps adding extra intensity to the groove. 

This is a brilliantly colourful package from Get Physical.

Lately, Enduro Disco released on Tensnakes' label True Romance.
This new release features two stunning tracks that continue his strong vein of gently euphoric, deep rollers and bring to mind some of Orbital’s more blissed-out moments.
‘Forever’ is a heavenly track filled with airy vocal delays, deft synth hooks and dreamy melody. His clever use of reverbs and delays create a track that feels spacious from the opening and never cluttered. A tumbling conga rhythm decorates muted claps and a shuffling shaker-driven beat, with the melodic elements teasingly filtered in over the pulsing, funk-licked bassline. A soaring lead line rears its head above the parapet as the vocal snippets flit across the stereo field and snatches of disco strings punctuate sections with a crescendo feel. The break strips things down, with stuttering sample cuts of the strings flipping the feel of the track while a delicate synth pulse floats underneath. It’s warm, sensual and a little bit Balearic.
‘Dream’ rocks a shimmering electronic disco beat, with brilliant use of effects, hazy vocal samples and dissonant synth flourishes building a technicolour patchwork of sounds. The understated bass throb adds weight underneath heavily sidechained pads as the hypnotic mix of flavours builds towards the break. More clever sampling heightens the tension as rasping synths flutter at the edges of the soundscape and a euphoric chord progression comes into play. Layer upon layer of gorgeous sound builds to thicken out this breezy feel, the sumptuous female vocal destined to cause goosebumps wherever it’s heard. A delightful experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and uplifted.

James Curd is set to release his debut album ‘Taking All This Time’ on Exploited, rounding up some of his biggest productions to date alongside a clutch of new productions. Featuring a slew of vocalists and collaborators and his distinctive combination of live instrumentation and electronic grooves, it’s a beautiful collection, and ‘Say Less Not More’ is one of the feisty new tracks plucked from it.
‘Say Less Not More’ sees Curd team up with Chicago DJ, producer and vocalist Bear Who? in fine style, with the vocal message perfectly matching the uncluttered arrangement. A pumping analog bassline jacks the track up as Bear Who?’s commanding spoken word vocal sets the tone. Muted chords accentuate the bassline further before the arrangement strips back to bare bones. A gurgling acid line builds the drama as the percussion gently technofies, the 303 rubbing up against the phat bassline in perfect undulating harmony. With plenty of chunky low end energy, a snappy groove and Bear Who? lacing the track with his laconic yet engrossing tones, it’s a beast of a track.

Stefano Ritteri (Spaciale) gives the track a disco injection with tight, head-snapping beats, oodles of bassline funk and shimmering synth magic, while Theus Mago (Futureboogie) zeroes in on the acid content, gurgling 303s oscillating over stuttering bass throbs and swaggering half-time breakbeat to chilling effect.
